The team did win the league last year easily.. and only lost the year before on goal difference.. to arab ****s spending huge amounts..
So if this team is so ****.. what does that say about the rest of the league??
In truth the team is just a good one.. but Sir Alex was worth an extra 10-15 points a season by himself..
Arsenal finished 16 points behind us last year now sit 8 infront.. it's early days but could imagine if the season finished similar to that.. that's a swing of 24 pts.. Ozil has really had that much of an effect?

People need to stop crediting everything to Ozil.
Yes he's a world class player and has obviously had an effect but Arsenal have tallied more points than anyone in the calendar year so far. This was a team who were already in very good form barring that freak Aston Villa result.

He might miss the Dortmund match, he's gonna be missed if he doesn't play.

Anyone backing Arsenal for the title?
THAT goal has got to be nailed on for goal of the season.
They have had a relatively easy start (apart from Spurs) to the season so it should be interesting to see if they are the real deal when they play the top teams. The Dortmund game tomorrow should be tasty.

That Arsenal goal is the goal of the season unless someone twats one in from the halfway line or something.
Arsenal have been trying to score that goal for about 16 years.
I make City my favourites followed by us, followed by Arsenal and I dunno about Man U - anything could happen. I just don't think Chelsea will drop silly points and I think we'll get about 85 points which will put us in the mix. If we had a striker I'd say we could/would win it. But we have none and City have 4 - that is going to tell in the end. And is also the reason why Man U could probably still get involved
Anyway some good litmus tests coming up. Chelsea vs City which is a 50/50 unless Javi Garcia plays then it is 90/10 Chelsea.
And Arsenal vs Chelsea in the League Cup although Wenger will probably ***** out of that one and play 'kids' so they have an inbuilt excuse when they get beat - when really they should be trying to win their first trophy in 8 years. Mourinho knows how important winning that first trophy is. That's why he went spastic in that Super Cup nobody gives a fuck about.Last edited by Sparked_26; 10-21-2013, 01:06 PM.

They also went on a run the season before as well.. but the following season they were back to being to scrapping into the top 4..
Ozil signing may not be the full reason for a great start.. but he is the major reason.. when a genuine world class player comes into a club it boosts everyone.. it also shows Arsenal mean business..
Flamini has been a big help going about his business quietly
+ the very easy start to the season has also contributed..
But the Ozil signing and the boost it gave everyone is the main reason imo..

I honestly believe Moyes would have had very similar results as Arsenal have had if he had been given that run in.. Chelsea/Liverpool and City.. in quick succession and only taking 1 point from 9 seems to have sapped any confidence he needed to build
Arsenal have one major issue.. if Giroud gets injured they will have issues.. i am not sure i would want a big money striker in january because that could upset things
