    Was Batistuta even that good?

    Back in the 90's though all those guys had more charisma. People will root for them. C.Ronaldo and Messi aren't great personalities really are they. The only thing Mourinho would ever say about Ronaldo was that he was 'thick.'

      Batistuta is an ATG, he was deadly in his prime. He didn't win much but his individual performances were always pretty decent.

        I remember him from Football Italia, but Signori was always my favourite with his one-step penalty.

        But I think must people had favourite teams. James Richardson is a legend, he made a whole country care about boring Italian football.

        Anelka tried that against Everton.

            Khedira and Alonso would double penetrate Zidane if he played in a 4-4-2 with Makelele is his partner. Not because he isnt good, but because 4-4-2 is a dead formation that no one plays because they always lose the 3vs2 midfield battle

            Oh and Ronaldo is the one breaking records in La Liga, something Batistuta and Del Piero never would do.

            I mean 9 goals in 3 games... and against top teams like Sevilla and Villarreal!! its sick and unheard of. Cristiano and Messi are the best of this era, and this era is the best ever.
