Yeah.

It's an exciting league but we are not an especially competitive team - example being 3 defeats in a month to your team.

And football is perpetual. We ARE now a mediocre bunch for the level that we expect to compete at. At least until FFP comes in - crucial point.

You can see an Essien written down on the team sheet but it's in name only. The poor old sod is shot to pieces and I've been saying it all season long. About three times a game he feels his knees. Then you can pretty much go through the Chelsea team and ask yourself if they are as good as they were.

The proof is in the pudding and Chelsea have finished with their lowest points total in 8 years. And it's not really the managers fault that they haven't performed, but there is an argument without loyalty to certain players a new guy could come in and make the big calls.

We're never going to have an Alex Ferguson who will be given 4 years to win nothing. Unless realism kicks in under FFP and our situation changes.

But, yeah. I would say we were mediocre.

Charlie Adam needs to come to Old Trafford, he's a great replacement for Scholes.

No he isn't good enough.. i can see him at Liverpool but if he came to United he would flop imo

I think he more then deserved the sack.. Ancellotti came of as a spineless coward with the Wilkins affair when really he could do whatever he wanted (as he just won the double.

Roman wants the CL.. Carlo had a good record.. but lets be honest he failed horribly.. They were completely outplayed over 2 legs by United and Inter.. he also made a horrible call with Drogba/Torres. Now if he played Drogba.. who knows? i know for sure Chelsea smashes Shalke

He's been one of the best players in the Premier League this season, plus he wouldn't break the bank. I don't see why it's such a ridiculous move, it makes perfect sense for both parties.

You're going to have to pay £30 million for Sneijder or Modric, maybe more. Sneijder whilst he is awesome for Inter, is untested in the Premier League and really plays nothing like Scholes. Modric is awesome and Premier League tested but Spurs don't want to sell him and he doesn't want to leave, plus he doesn't score many goals. Charlie Adam costs a fraction of what the other 2 cost, he's British and adapted to the Premier League and is actually the most similar to Scholes in terms of style of play out of the 3 that we are rumoured to be interested in. Plus we don't have a free kick taker and Adam is pretty good at set pieces.

If United are still looking to save money then i'd definatley have a look at Adam.

I think adam is a class player....I dont think hes good enough for united, but He wouldnt be THAT bad a replacement if we couldnt get any1 else....

I mean, With the united team around him he would be an even better player....the same can be seen when valencia was at wigan, people knew he was a good player....he went to united, people now know hes a great player...

Anyway i dont think chelsea are in anyway mediocre, They have class players....and they just had a bad season, they started with 7-0 wins etc.....they just hit a really really bad dip in form...
