I don't think Conor is amazing but you have to question everything about that move.

1. He was our captain

2. They made it clear several times they wanted him gone. Killing his value.

3. They offered him a contract (short term) if only to retain value. Insulting.

4. They then briefed the press and said he was 'only' a squad player due to our new style. As far as I can see our new style might just be getting pumped by everyone.

5. This brief has put the new manager under enormous pressure and sold him down the river. Must Chelsea fans will be thinking: who the f.uck is Maresca? He's had 1 season in the championship with the overwhelming favorites. Conor has been at Chelsea since he was 8.

We purchased a boy from your academy last year, Soonsup Bell for about 500k i think. He might end up being a dud and playing for Solihull Moors, but he was highly rated. Just seems a complete opposite of how you was run when you was successful. You were the ones buying up promising players from other academies.

Also talking of Conte, he's already making ultimatums to de laurentis at Napoli. Buy him a striker, 2 midfielders and a CB or hes off lol
