Bale is arguably the best British player of his generation.

It is him or Rooney but I'd probably argue at one point you had Messi, Ronaldo, and then Bale and Neymar on the same level. Bale reached a higher level than Rooney.

Bale was hitting big numbers and scoring in major finals. Physically he was monstrous. His body didnt hold up in the end and he was treated poorly by Madrid fans who are, without question, the worst supporters on earth.

Every time Chelsea sign anyone it p.isses me off.

We signed our 5th keeper in 2 years.

I think most Chelsea fans are praying for a ban and points deduction. Every new signing just chips away at the fabric of the club now.

I don't think I'd mind it if we got relegated. It might be the only thing that stops this rubbish.

        I don't mean accomplishments.

Bale genuinely began to dislike football, didn't care about being part of the "team" and wound up not loving the game anymore. (e.g. Wales, Golf, Madrid)

That's what I mean about mentioning him. Conor has to want to live in Spain, want to learn Spanish culture, want to be part of the team. Otherwise, he won't make it.

It's like those South Americans that come to England, live on their compound, never go out, and wonder why they hate life.

Spain pretty much owns the sport at the moment, don’t they?

Add an Olympic gold medal to their ledger. Bossing the game at nearly every level right now.

I think Bale was fine. He just wasn't a media wh0re. Him not speaking Spanish and winning those accomplishments proves you don't have to be a darling of the fans and media to "make it"

Especially as European nations don't ordinarily give a s.hit about the Olympics. France were interested because they were hosting but I dunno what that would be for Spain? It is essentailly an u-23 bomb squad for them.

                Still won it.

Culturally they are ahead of the game at the moment.

Talent wise, are England really that far off?

You went from a generation of u23 world cup winners (17-21 age group comps) no?

Now they are all no good?

Or is England just hamstrung by not having a really good international coach?

                    If Chelsea buy Joao Felix

that might actually make me stop watching football

I can't bring myself to support another club

but that will make me focus on my career and getting more gash on saturdays if Chelsea do that one
