Nuno Santo is gonna make Spurs a problem.

Friendlies are just friendlies but they look way more composed as a group than with Jose and even Poch towards the end.

But their DNA is really tainted. Loser DNA in them, I don't think Nuno can turn that around but they could probably play the spoiler at some point.

Not sure about that. They may have been a bit undercooked and Chelsea made what 10 changed to their 4? Chelsea's first team looked likely to smash them 4/5 nil Chelsea's first team which largely came off after 55 mins was great. Werner was a good 2 yards onside for his goal as well. I think he will benefit this season from the thicker lines. He is still the worlds worst finisher though should have had 3 again. Someone needs to tell him. Dont look at the keeper Timo. Head down and smash. I just dont think he has any ability whatsoever in front of goal and at this point he needs to play percentages and not have to make a decisions. 6 yards out? Head down smash. 20 yards out? Head down smash? Goal line? Head down smash. Just seems like a simple step to stop backing him to make a split second decision in goal. That is completely gone for him. I think he might be a little simple minded genuinely. But he is important for Chelsea.

Bakayoko is incredible. I've seen he is linked to Juventus. The feedback from last night as people in the stands and at home genuinely think they might have done better. He must just absolutely go to pieces when he puts on that Chelsea shirt. I'm not even gonna be critical even in a friendly I thought it was quite sad. He must have some talent but he is possibly the worst player Chelsea have EVER had

Cuadrado is still the worst player Chelsea have ever had. Incredible that he looked entirely out of depth in a Chelsea shirt but a champion in Juventus'.

What is it with us and strikers though? Shevchenko, Fernando, Morata, now Werner.

People on the net keep shouting for Haaland but he's just a big Werner. He's exactly the same kind of player those aforementioned 4 are and I suspect he will suddenly become abject in front of goal with Chelsea as well and be just the most expensive flop.

What's even more interesting is how players like Michy aren't entirely that talented. But just score goals.

Other than Diego and Drogba, who weren't exactly the most perceived talented either, Michy was the only one who just had a knack for scoring. Diego and Drogba make goals from nothing. Send a half-chance in the box to Michy and he'll fail forward into goal.

But Chelsea keep looking at these flashy runners with score on the break and can't play with back to goal. (Including Lukaku but at least Lukaku actually grew up a Chelsea supporter. So their's a little warm feelings there even if he will probably suffer the same fate as Werner, Morata et al.)

Has to be PSG for Messi right?

Also, good ****ing god, but the money City is paying for Grealish is ****ing unbelievable. Villa is putting that cash to good use though, they are building a dangerous squad, think they could be level with Leicester this year

Yeah Villa mean business. They're up there with the best run teams in the league. Dunno who even own them now after Randy Learner but I'm pretty jealous of how they and Leicester are run.

Messi to PSG seems the only viable deal right now. Especially if Madrid find some loose change down the back of the sofa for Mbappe.

Boring move though. Same with Kane to city. If this was Championship manager I'd hit reset.

The Man City deal for Grealish really shows how weak Arsenal are in the sack. Couldn't muster the courage to move on Zaha last season because Palace wanted massive money. But Zaha would've scored goals for them that that French guy couldn't find.

                Anyways...

Looks like Big Rom is on his way back to Chelsea. It just wasn't supposed to happen at that time.

But all things will be as they should be...

                It was fated.

Tbf Lukaku was another one Mourinho ruined because the loans were working. He was scoring goals and he was developing. He missed a pen in a glorified friendly the Supercup and that put Mourinho off and he sold him

I love Jose still but his second spell at Chelsea was catastrophic even including the league title win turned put to be a pyrrhic victory. The likelihood is that if he never turned up we'd have probably won a few league titles anyhow with another top manager and possibly another champions league title.

I think it scarred him really. Jose knows he made too many mistakes in that spell and that baggage has been with him since. He did a tremendously s.hit job at Chelsea second time around.

I dont want Chelsea to make a similar mistake if Tammy is in anyway happy to stay at Chelsea. Even if that meant a loan to get minutes. He has holes in his game that Chelsea probably cant fix by giving him enough minutes. I see Tammy's career trajectory as similar to Lukaku's albeit Tammy has shown he can score goals for Chelsea whereas Lukaku was doing that at middling premier league teams. Tammy is also awkward looking and pretty underappreciated.

On the other hand there are plenty of teams that should really be looking to take Tammy. His ceiling is very high

I preferred Tammy to stay. But with Lukaku coming in, there's no way Tammy stays.

I agree that he was on a similar trajectory to Lukaku as well. Maybe slightly less productive but Tammy is definitely more well-rounded than Lukaku, age-for-age.

Tammy to me is a lot like Adebayor though. I always saw Adebayor in him even to the point that Tammy will likely join Arsenal at some point. That's a high ceiling. Maybe even higher, since Tammy doesn't have Adebayor's twat personality, where he'll quit on a team mid-season, mid-game. That Balotelli mentality.

                      2 questions.

Why did Messi leave Barcelona, they didn't want to sign him long term? Thought he took a pay cut also?

And is PSG any good? ESPN is reporting he signed there. Physical in Paris today
