Why did Messi leave Barcelona, they didn't want to sign him long term? Thought he took a pay cut also?

And is PSG any good? ESPN is reporting he signed there. Physical in Paris today
    1. Barcelona can't afford him because they have been fiscally ******ed for well over a decade. Theyve probably already paid Messi around a billion dollars. But tbf to him Messi brings revenue so whilst it seems silly I guess he would at least make the club around even money perhaps but Messi himself likely has his own image rights and will earn as much money outside of Barca. Messi has obviously been a greedy little toad too but on the other hand it isn't like he isn't one of the 2 best players in the world.

The issue is Barca paying other players ****** money too and have been for years in both inflated transfer fees and giving bums like Coutinho 400k a week. Borrowing and borrowing and borrowing. Believing it was ok because clubs like Barcelona with their motto Mes Un Club genuinely think the world owes them a living.

    2. Spanish tax laws forbid anything other a 50% pay cut. I dunno if that could be pushed through a court because Messi's previous contract his negotiating position must have been 'money? Yes. I want all of it. I want all of the money or I'll sh.it my pants because I'm such a greedy little c.unt'

Barca said: we cannot give you all the money. We can give you nearly all the money. All the money we have borrowed from all these banks. Like the shower of c.unts we are.

    3. La Liga brought in a wages to turnover rule. So you can only spend 70% of your turnover on wages. Barcelona are on 95%.....without Messi and without a few players like Aguero and Depay who they signed in the summer. So even if Messi offered to play for free. Which he never would because presumably at this point this c.unt uses €100 notes to wipe his greedy little arse with. They cant even register him to play.

In short. Messi and Barcelona were greedy. Barcelona were ****** and football culture was ******. Additionally the premier league is far more popular as a product and there are reasons for that too but that has impacted on Barcelona's ability to compete in reality which they have just ignored, lol.

Barcelona need a multi billionaire to come in and service their debt. Which goes against their more than a club b.ull**** but in reality Barcelona are horrible drain on the European tax player at this point. They're a disgusting team.

Woah, woah, woah. Coutinho isn't a bum. He pretty much showed its Barcelona not him when he came on for Bayern Munich and shat all over Barcelona. Had like 2 goal contributions in under 10 minutes against Messi and Barcelona..

PSG may as well go the full Football Manager route.

Sell Mbappe to Real Madrid. Finance the move by taking cash + Ferland Mendy.

Then use that money to buy Ronaldo from Juventus.

      Complete the trifecta.

Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Di Maria, Veratti, Wijnaldum, Marquinhos, Mendy, Hakimi, Kimpembe, Donnarumma.

Absolute FM 21 team. Video Game s/hit.

Nice stories for Kepa and for Chalobah tonight. Great debut and a glory moment for a keeper whose ego must have taken an absolute battering for about 2 years despite his handsome wage. Hard not to happy for him

Top shelf stuff from Kepa. I dont think a soul but Kepa and Tuchel were confident in that switch lol

Kepa rebuilding his career with that one.

and finally lifting hat elusive super cup! Club world cup and Chelsea will have won it all.

I hope Chelsea give Chalobah a run in the squad until at least Christmas and see where he is at because he took his chance tonight. He is raw but he has that Kyle Walker-esque strength and recovery speed and on debut too.

Could also be a spot in midfield too. I don't fancy us doing that great if Kante gets injured. I don't want to be negative because its farcical. Chelsea have great players everywhere but against the best teams Kova as the muscle isnt cutting It. He looks like a battle hardened eastern Euro but hes a finesse sort of player. If him and Jorgi had a punch up I'm not ruling out Jorgi, lol. Kova just has no great physicality and that's not a knock on his heart or effort.

That midfield is light. A surprise package needs to be a physical alternative to Kova. That's RLC, Chalobah, or even Reece James. The latter two have both played in midfield often whereas RLC who is the senior party struggles to really last 90 and is a big strong player but not one who can get around the pitch. Tuchel is so smart though I'm interested in how he plays it because if Chelsea do win the league then there is a tactical innovation needed there. I'm not sure Chelsea fancy spending another £90 mill on Rice

              Lukaku is official!

premier league is officially on notice. Every club will be weighed and measured as Sparked would say.

I’m actually happy for a signing for once. I don’t even care that he doesn’t really fit the team style. Of the ones we lost, Lukaku was a Chelsea man and fate has made it so.

The promised heir to King Didier has returned a man. Ready to lead us to glory.

                Brentford top of the table.

Arsenal are truly something else. I read they had a depleted squad but their 72m man (Pepe) looked like Willian out there. Best player was Tierney, a left back. Arsenal are on some dire stuff.

Tammy better get on the phone to switch to Roma, there's nothing to see in that sinking ship called Arsenal.

Ivan Toney showing shades of a young Didier Drogba as well. A bigger club better snap him up. Cause he has the goods.

Bet they beat Chelsea though, that jinx is real at the. Minute.

But yeah 10th or below for Arse. Apart from Tierney I'm not sure they have a player that would get on the pitch for one of the top 4 clubs.

Im fairly ambivalent to Arsenal but I take slight exception when they are called weak, or that they dont have character, or they are soft.

The implication there is that they have a bunch of top players who are only let down by intangibles like commitment, passion, and desire.

                    Nah.

The reason they lose a lot of games is because they are for all intents and purposes absolutely and utterly ordinary.

Mad to see Brentford in the pl. Used to go with my mates to see them midweek a lot if they played when I was at School. It used to cost £1 for school kids just to get some people in the ground. If Chelsea weren't playing I'd go there a fair amount.

Really happy for them. Most Chelsea fans I know have an affinity for Brentford will be funny when they try and position themselves as local rivals.
