Township (Tsotsi looks like a girl in the movie)
Slum
Estates (they eat crumpets there the ***gets)

I have heard stories from refugees from Sudan and other places with long civil wars and I swear they would think la, chicago, ny, was like going on a picnic despite the *******.
They always told me, yeah after the ******* died down, we'd go out shopping 5 minutes later because it was such as common thing.

I selected other, because there are real nasty urban areas in the world but in my opinion the toughest place to live would be pretty much anywhere in Africa. They have those revolutions like every year.

I dont know about the world Newark Nj, Jersey City Nj, Camden Nj was the murder capital of the US last year..look it up, And Im from the Bronx...only visited Newark and JC and its pretty bad.

i wouldn't call some of the war torn parts of africa URBAN.

of course it's gonna be worse for war torn areas.

i did put toewnships there! War zones go beyond urban areas and is completely different ball game. War is never going to be pretty and will always be ****ty- urban area or not. I guess I should have specified that I meant places in peacetime but still completely ****ed up.

I just remembered now, another candidate is Kingston in Jamaica. It was most violent city on world joint top with Karachi in a programme I saw a few years ago.
