      but 5 important things

      1. prosecutors go soft on police officers. there was easily enough evidence to convict, but the prosecutors got outdone by the police lawyers. if it was the other way around, dont matter if the shooter was a millionaire, the prosecutors would be painting him as a "monster".

      2. al sharpton is the one that probly gave the victims legal advice. why would you tell them to file civil lawsuits before the criminal trial even starts? that makes it seem like there only out for money.

      3. another thing is the officers didnt testify, because the prosecutors read there grand jury testimony at trial. thats a huge error.

      4. they keep bringing up the victims criminal records or if sean bell was able to talk as he was dying, but does that even matter? the answer is no. because the shooters didnt know that. plus the officer who fired the most shots has a settlement from 10 years ago when he beat up a black cab driver. i bet the prosecutors didnt bring that up.

      5. this case was doomed as soon as the prosecutors agreed to a judge trial. you think its harder to convince another authority or 12 of your peers? this happens in these types of cases alot. i kinda think the DA brought this trial to get support but purposely didnt do enough in order to keep the system in line.

Good post. However, I hafta disagree a little with # 2.

You file the civil lawsuit because there is a statue of limitation for suing cases like this which is one year from the incident. It doesnt look like they are only after money, they have no control over prosecuting the case criminally. Even if there were no criminal charges they could have sued.

          really?

you really feel that way about the people that keep you safe. there are some bad apples but to have that extreme of an opinion goes to show. our police officers are NOT ******* that got picked on in school. a very few are but the vast majority are not.

that doesn't mean they're all trying to be heros either.

they're working people like you and me that are doing the best they can to make a good living and happen to have one of the toughest jobs out there to do so. in my opinion, to talk that much **** on your own community protection is a disgrace to the very area that you take pride in calling "home".
I see it the exact opposite...most of them got ****ed with, then we get the 5- 10% who are guys with balls who seriously want to protect and serve and put their life on the line when need be. don't get me started on those butch whore female cops who are in the same category with females who do construction.

I'm just stating the obvious. If you can't open up your eyes and see that the majority of people who tote a gun and badge got ****ed with in their youth, then you're either blind, or biased because I described you, or a family member. For that, I apologize for being truthful, as I can understand the truth hurts from time to time. Now, don't get me wrong, there is a small percentage of good cops...It's about equal to the number of quality white American heavyweights in Boxing today, sadly.

The fact still remains, the majority of the time I've been pulled over, it's been by some worm wearing glasses about 5'3" who I can give you a personal guarantee got punked many times over in high school. If that guy doesn't pull me over, it's the fat redneck hunting expert who I doubt can pass his physical. And, if he doesn't pull me over, it's Jerome Jones, who wants to get back at whitey by giving them pointless citations, so he becomes a cop. The same thing goes with racist rednecks, you got those guys too who just live for ****ing over black people. What do all these people have in common? They weren't respected as youths, and to fill that gap they tote a gun and badge.

Out of all the people I went to high school with, (and I went to a very big school) six became police officers. I played football with four of those six guys, and do you know what kind of **** we did to them? Horrible, horrible **** bro. These were the kinds of people that I saw everyone **** with. I actually took heat for telling guys to leave these dudes alone, because I'm a natural mediator and hate to see nerds getting ****ed with like that. (I remember one guy, we called him Lovett...that poor kid, the atrocious things our ******* players did to that poor ****er.)

The other two guys, one was so overweight that his stomach drooped down a good six inches below his waistline/belt area, a real 'Tuck in ya belly' type of guy...and the other dude was gay.

What do they all have in common?

they got ****ed with, case & point.

if you act in real life like yer posting on here then it's no wonder why these cops don't like you.

so yer basing the rest of these "facts" on a few dudes you went to high school with. that doesn't make it a fact.
