You saying that one of the cops was black is still playing the race card.
I can't imagine how difficult it is to be a policeman in a city w/ a high crime rate and plenty of firearms.

The big question in the case was whether or not the identified themselves as officers. I meant more along the lines of, when things go south there's the fear that then weapons will be pulled. I imagine if I were a police man in a big city I'd be so god damn paranoid of every person I had to talk to/stop for any reason. I imagine being afraid for your life can drive you to fire your gun plenty o' times once you pull the trigger once. There are always cases about cops who unload a whole clip into suspects after a police chase or something... adrenaline and fear get pumping and once you pull the trigger you can't stop.

And for the record, I can't say whether or not I agree/disagree w/ the verdict as there was by no means conclusive evidence, nor was I in the courtroom to see everything for myself, but I'd tend to favor the side of the law in this instance.

As I said earlier in this thread, I strongly disagree with the verdict and dislike how the cops can get away with this ****. Although I wasnt surprised at all, cops have gotten away with much worse.
But one thing bothers me. If the victims were white, or any other race for that matter, chances are it wouldn't even had made the news. So what message is that sending? That police brutality is only a big deal when the victim is black?
