It ain't just about race. I guarantee you that if it was my ass that got killed they would still be aquitted. It's just in NY the cops got so much power(and damn we are still paying for that, look how many corrupt cop cases surfaced lately) they can get away with virtually anything. That trend started with Gulliani and Bloomberg reinforced it. And look hust how quickly that case got buried by the media.. A disgrace.

I agree with you in part on this. Your absolutely right in regards to the NYPD having so much power. And that's so true about Gulliani. But I think you would have a better chance of not getting shot at one of these places then my ass. Unequal justice like this has existed since Blacks were looked at as property from slavery times. It's gotten better since but the disparity is still there.

Well, yeah, I would have better chances of actually not getting shot, that one I agree with you. But if I did, they are still getting away with it.

I am currently taking classes with somebody who used to be in a force and well he was pretty clear that a cop can start shooting at you with as little as one wrong movement from you.

It's not a matter of race. AN officer shooting a weapon 31 times is just ridiculous, no matter what the circumstance.

You saying that one of the cops was black is still playing the race card.

I don't think race is the issue here--I think excessive force is. You're right, Kay; Shooting someone 31 times was completely unnecessary. This is real life, not Playstation 2. These cops got off light, and it makes me sick.
