3 NYPD detectives acquitted in 50-shot killing

only a black guy gets shot at 50 times from three feet away. he was probaly just gonna ram the car from two feet away. with so meny witnesses too. if it was a white guy they'd go to jail today, a year ago.

Police officers are not this highly trained elite group. They are normal people doing a job..who want to come home alive. Should they be held to a higher standard? YES. I have a good friend who is a cop and he is really smart and well trained, I also know another guy who I cannot believe is a cop but turned out he didnt know what to do with his life so he ended up getting a job as an officer. Quality of training and the hiring of sub-par people as cops always plays a part in tragedies like this if you ask me. Your telling me a well trained cop is going to need to fire 31 times?! Sounds more like a panic stricken person.

That wasn't panic, that was hate that drove a man to murder. Cops know what the *** they are doing. They are trained to do the job and YES they are human but 51 shots is unforgivable.

They MURDERED him like they did the African immigrant a few years before.Then people wonder why there is so much divisiveness in this country and african americans don't trust law enforcement.

^that only works if you know there police officers. not if there undercovers gettin drunk at a strip club at 3 am you wouldnt think they were officers either.

but 5 important things

1. prosecutors go soft on police officers. there was easily enough evidence to convict, but the prosecutors got outdone by the police lawyers. if it was the other way around, dont matter if the shooter was a millionaire, the prosecutors would be painting him as a "monster".

2. al sharpton is the one that probly gave the victims legal advice. why would you tell them to file civil lawsuits before the criminal trial even starts? that makes it seem like there only out for money.

3. another thing is the officers didnt testify, because the prosecutors read there grand jury testimony at trial. thats a huge error.

4. they keep bringing up the victims criminal records or if sean bell was able to talk as he was dying, but does that even matter? the answer is no. because the shooters didnt know that. plus the officer who fired the most shots has a settlement from 10 years ago when he beat up a black cab driver. i bet the prosecutors didnt bring that up.

5. this case was doomed as soon as the prosecutors agreed to a judge trial. you think its harder to convince another authority or 12 of your peers? this happens in these types of cases alot. i kinda think the DA brought this trial to get support but purposely didnt do enough in order to keep the system in line.

that doesn't mean they're all trying to be heros either.
