Movie: The Godfather

I cant believe I havent seen this movie... So i went to the store last night and bought it and watched it last night... what a GREAT movie... WOW

Slightly confused, at the end... did he have the 5 different family head bosses all killed? Because he knew they wanted to setup a meeting to have him killed? thats what I got out of it.

pretty much although Bazzini and Tessio were the main culprits behind the setup. the other families would just go along with it to avoid more bloodshed.

Yeah I bought part I and part II last night... im watching part II tonight...

Dont tell me anything! it sucks Don had to die.. his character was pure genius.. love the way he talks and how calm he is..

they based his calm and raspy voice on Frank Costello cause that's exactly how he sounded. like Costello too, there was also a failed assassination attempt on him.

Its funny how at the beginning of the film Michael was like this kind of dorky kid... at the end, you saw the scarface sort of come out in him... im guessing part II is even more so

It's good but overrated. I prefer Goodfellas

I dont think its overrated at all... its deep, the script is great... theres a lot of things going on... goodfellas isnt really deep... pretty shallow film... dont get me wrong... goodfellas is one of my favorite movies... but its a shallow script... GREAT acting... but the script is shallow... just a bunch of violent gangsters.... great acting though... pesci is the man
