The Goodfather is the single greatest movie ever made. Godfather II is also excellent but just a step down in my opinion. I also loved Goodfellas and would certainly put it in my top 10 movies ever.

If you ever get the chance, watch the Godfater Epic or whatever they are calling it now. It is basically a 5 hour movie with the Godfather 1 and 2 put together in chronological order. It also has a number of added original scenes that didn't make it into the individual movies. They are awesome and make the movie/story that much better.
