Movie: The Godfather

the godfather is the best movie i have ever seen. it shows what a real men should be. i just wish that they would make a part 4 where andy garcia will continue to run the family. i wanna see how he would do it since he has the character of his dad. violent and aggressive.

I loved it too. The only thing I never understood was how He could Kill all the Heads of the Five Families without any retaliation from There muscle or even a patient assassination years later. Maybe someone can enlighten me.

there's no reference in Pt. 3 about the bosses that Michael had killed in the first movie.

the reason why nobody took revenge on Michael is simply because of power and money. you don't destroy too much authority or you have anarchy and everybody loses. although it's never mentioned directly in the film, it IS mentioned in real life- as the same reason nobody ever took out Luciano for arranging the murders of Joe Masseria and Salvatore Maranzano during the Castellammarese War. the deaths of the 5 bosses was loosely based on this war.

The original is without question the better of the two movies, but part 2 is also very, very good...

Part 3 was a big disappointment. I actually appreciate it more years later than I did at the time, but it is still not close to the league of the first 2.
