well technically if he DECIDED not to get up, then he quit. If he was capable of getting and continuing fighting and chose not to that is quitting. I havent seen the fight, but it sounds like that is what happen.

Arguello quit against Pryor the second time, he could have gotten up but chose not to.
Vargas went out on his sheild vs Trinidad he got up everytime until he was stopped
Freitas quit against COrrales, he could have kept fighting bbut chose not to.
Corrales went out on his sheild in all his ko losses, he either was UNABLE to get up or the ref stopped it.

Erik gave you some of the biggest matches all these years. I've always rooted for Erik, just as long as he doesn't fight Pac.

whether he quit or not, do not take away from Manny's performance, the point is Manny put on one heck of a performance, and beat Erik, period, and Erik knew he was a beaten fighter. Erik get it his all, fought his ass off but came up short.
