And if you do think that...why isn't he mentioning any of the other active but younger champions at light Heavyweight like Bivol? Bivol is at DAZN as well so that fight would be easier to make. It's because Kovalev is old now, that's why...

I think Ward is about right in his assessment of Kovalev, when he says that he is about 70% of what he was when he was actually The Krusher. But even at 70%, he's a really good fighter who will give Canelo problems with his jab and length. At this point I do favor Canelo though, as I think he will be able to slip enough of Kovalev's shots, while delivering a relentless body attack.

Lara literally ran the entire fight & landed nothing but jabs & was oblitered by more than 50 power shots to the gut & was heavily outlanded in power shots which basically comprised all of the punches canelo landed. Lara & trout both got whooped & the haters still cry robbery, even more proof is that the clowns saying trout got robbed now say it was a blowout. I thought Canelo won but it was a close fight. I have a friend whose opinion I respect and who was at the fight, who thought Lara won. He said that the body shots that Canelo was landing, the punches that I thought swung the fight, did not seem that hard or effective in person.

Either way, it was a close fight, nobody got destroyed.

All that I ask is that Kovalev has a reasonable amount of time to recover from Saturday's fight and that there are no smoke and mirrors with the weigh-in weights. Nobody asked for this fight, but it could be something good if it appears that it's on the up-and-up.
