Why do people rate Canelo's resume so high, even relative to GGG's?

FACT: the best win on Golovkin's resume was a HUGE underdog

NOBODY called Jacobs elite before he fought Golovkin

      Plodkin made Jacobs great

Don't forget Liam "Beefy" Smith probably the most avoided Jr MW Champ at the time.
Who can deny Canelo made history when he moved up to face that 168 monster, Rocky Fielding.
People may call them paper champs but they're still champs and possible future HOF's.
Not to mention being completely embarrassed by Mayweather. Cotto gave him a hard fight even thought he was well past his prime and the much smaller Mosely was shot when he fought him. Canelo is a good fighter but these names on his resume are just names. They weren't the great fighters they were in the past.

Cotto Mosley and Lara... are all MUCH better than a huge underdog

think about that for a second, Tony Baloney

Agreed. Alvarez is good but once he stepped up in class he never KO'd or even dominated any top guy.
Cotto was probably the weakest MW Champ in history and both Smith and Fielding were paper champs, but those are the klnd of weak title holders he goes after. He cherry picks and throws in rehydration clauses and says "he'll fight anybody" That's just BS.

Nah I'm pretty sure I just said that GGG stopping and dominating Lemieux and Murray was more impressive than Canelo going 12 with Cotto and Lara and having tight fights with them...Lara was great but not really much different difficulty than Murray was at the time they fought GGG and Nelo.

Stopping prime Cotto would be a great win...going 12 rounds with him at 155 in a close fight is a pretty good win...GGG stopping Lemieux who had a belt in dominating fashion was a really good win imo...just how I analyzed all of that.

If GGG went 12 with Cotto at 160 I would say it wasn't a great win...if he edged out Lara I would say it was a good win but would not really say he excelled in either of those if he had tight fights with them.

Tbh I don't really see the rationale for hyping up Canelo's performances against Mosley and Cotto...I would expect a stoppage from Nelo against those versions of Cotto and Mosley...Lara has always been a good win though, I give Nelo full credit for that one.

Danny was downgraded because there were doubts about his chin. His chin held up well against the best two fighters in the division and he fought well against both of them. He's avery good fighter as he proved against Canelo and Golovkin.

The versions of Cotto and Mosley that fought Canelo would not beat Jacobs I'm certain of that. If Jacobs had fought Mosley he would be ridiculed because he's way too big and Mosley was shot. Lara would not be favored by the bookies to beat Jacobs.

and now, EVERYONE who knows boxing can see that you are a casual-fan idiot who has no idea about levels/styles

honestly, Lemieux is a scrub..... he is the very definition of average, there is no other way to put it..... there is nothing great about a heavy-handed guy knocking out a low-skilled static opponent..... beating Lara was a much better accomplishment, and much more difficult to achieve..... Canelo would likely have also stopped Pepe Le Pew, and Golovkin ducked Lara for a reason

                      you are a total idiot
