I'm 99.9% sure there is wording in the contact that gives DAZN leverage with opponents, but I highly doubt it names specific fighters, GGG or otherwise. But I don't think you need to name specific opponents cuz I bet they can also say we'll pay you $20M for the opponent of your choice or $40M for GGG or something along those lines or not unlike TR/Arum does in a different way when guys don't agree to options or doesn't sign an extension.

You have to believe that DAZN has influence over who Canelo and GGG fight. Sure, they can understand a tune up. But this is why they invested nearly half a bil in these two. No way Golden Boy is gonna be able to call ALL the shots.

Personally I got it 1-0-1 GGG, but obviously to me both fights were hair thin & coulda gone either way so I could see any result in both fights & deemed it fair enough.
The main thing with this third fight is that its the biggest fight to make at 160 & potentially boxing as a whole & DAZN needs to make big fights to grow their platform.
And its in Canelo's interest to help that along as things stand cuz he's getting 365M this time around, but if DAZN is the player its trying to be in 5 years Canelo's next deal with them might be a billion dollar deal or something complately insane.

imo the first fight canelo made ggg miss ALOT. When ggg had his back on the ropes for some reason he was pitty pattying shots there. If I remember ggg's compubox stats where extremely low compared to any of his previous fights with any of them.
2nd fight was closer imo

If they really had that much control of his career the fight would be made and we wouldn't be having this discussion, right?
