And yes, fight sucks. Should be entertaining...If you like one sided beat downs.

Tank is rightfully a 130 pounder. He's not even that big. Any focused fighter who takes his craft serious should have no problem making 130. And if he is serious which is looks like he was, then 130 should be no problem.
dude stop. Tank had stated that he will need to move up to 135 in the near future. Hasn’t he already missed weight and been stripped too?

As for Ruiz Wasn’t he a super bantamweight for years prior to his last fight and he was a bantamweight before that?

Put it this way, Ruiz has as many fights at featherweight as Tank has at lightweight. Case closed.

I personally don't think Tank will be relevant by the time Loma is retiring either so the trying to stall him out thing isn't that relevant to me either. It's not that important I just think he's a punk and I wouldn't mind seeing him get a whipping already. I have more interest in Loma vs. Garcia or Berchelt. Credible opponents.
You seem stuck in a time vacuum. They haven't mentioned Loma for months. Yeah Spence said he thinks Davis beats him but that was months ago as well. You want to see Davis lose now. Ok got it. My theory is somewhat correct.

I don't think Davis will not be relevant. he is a solid fighter who if he gets his bad out of ring habits controlled looks to have a great career ahead of him.

Garcia is definitely a credible opponent but is fighting at 147 next and likely doesn't come back to 135. Berchelt is credible but the fight should've been made at 130 when he was the #1 guy there.

On another note, as I've said to you before should Loma wait and fight Berchelt at 135 (where he hasn't fought yet to my knowledge) I would hope you'd point out he's fighting a guy moving up and acknowledge the advantage that affords Loma.

You sense that Tank will build his name and fight Loma when Tank and his team feels he has the best chance to win. That bothers you because you like Loma and are somewhat annoyed he wasn't able to get a fight with Tank when you felt Loma would easily beat Tank.

Is this in fact the case? If so, why?

Good response. For some it just seems personal.

Quick Turn Around for Hugo Ruiz but likely a good Payday out of it at least

Can't blame Mares or Tank, injuries happen and when you're scrambling to find replacements the pickings are VERY SLIM because not many people are going to want to fight a talent like Tank Davis on Short Notice and I don't blame them.

At least chrisjs was willing to admit it was in part personal for him. You can't fault a guy when he's honest.

Why someone from 126? Why not Nunez who is WBA #2 @ 130, or Cherry, who is WBA # 6 @ 130? Nunez vs. Cherry is scheduled for March. You can't tell me one of them wouldn't want to take this fight with Tank! I would hate to think it's only because they want a Mexican fighter, but I have a feeling that's the deal!

How bad is Mares injured? Probably would have been best to just postpone the fight for a couple months.. Pretty sure people would rather just have their money back at this point

He should have fought Rigo instead. Loma***uals would have loved that fight

Nothing about case closed. I said in my OP it is another FW moving up....Which Ruiz is. There is nothing false about that statement.

As for Tank saying he will go up to LW? Sure, and did he miss weight? Yes, but like I said any fighter that takes it serious and is focus, would make weight in Tank's shoes. Tank was able to make weight just fine against Cuellar last year. If he was truly killing himself to make weight, then he would move up already. If he misses weight this time, then you would have more of a case for your argument. Don't let him being irresponsible fool you into thinking he is a true LW fighter. Did you see the size difference between him and Pedraza? Now that was a 130 pounder against a 135 pounder. Tank isn't going to be bigger than the likes of Berchelt or Machado. And if he goes to 135, he is going to by a tiny LW.
