The point is clear. He was given a shot at the weakest champion at 147. People understand Thurman-Spence is the two strongest two champions (including up until last week a unified champ) and is the next big fight in line in the division. Even Bud himself as acknowledged that and is going after the best of the next level in order to earn the fight with the top dog. Charlo is doing what exactly? Thinking he deserves to fight the guy with 3 titles whilst he himself has done the square root of 0 at the weight class and is waiting for everyone else to fight each other.

If Charlo can get Jacobs he will have put himself in a position where he's the most deserving guy until he beats a fellow top 5-6 guy he's putting himself in a position where he can't complain if Canelo or GGG opt to fight someone with stronger credentials like Saunders for example.

I think he's the easiest of that list of opponents. He has a tailor made style. GGG would have to go looking for BJS, Andrade, Jacobs, Canelo but not Charlo.

Saunders beat Lee, Eubank JR, Lemiuex. Not murderers row but compared to Charlo's opposition at 160 it's excellent. Charlo's opposition wasn't even that strong at 154. Trout? Dude had already declined and got shut out by Lara (who Charlo seemed to not want at all) and he fought a very, very close bout with Charlo.

So Jermall aint hard to find which will make the fight the much BETTER!

Heilend and Centeno good fighters but GGG and his opposition bums. Ok. Got it. Dude, I think GGG probably fought around 15 guys better than either of them and probably around another 10 or so "ranked". There's no way Heilend or Centeno beat Lemiuex let alone GGG.

I'd be happy with Charlo next but it's clear Charlo's not going out of his way to make the fight a must happen fight. The majority of the Boxing world would rather see GGG fight Canelo, Saunders or Jacobs next. Charlo should try and fight someone good instead of the bums he's been fighting. He may get some respect.
