But which heavyweight today resembles Evander Holyfield the most?

As for you 'not seeing any similarity whatsoever'. Every boxer has some similarities to every other boxer. No two boxers can ever be 100% dissimilar. Even if they aren't VERY similar, they will still share SOME similarities at least.

Can we at least agree that Carlos Takam is more similar to Evander Holyfield and resembles Holyfield more than Nikolai Valuev does?

There are many similarities between Takam and Holyfield:

    - As mentioned, both have similar left hooks.

    - Both are combination punching counter punchers who stay out of range and then step into range after making opponents miss or forcing them out of position. And then throw a counter punch which is followed by a combination of punches.

    - Both have very active guards.

    - Both use lateral movement against bigger sized opponents and more powerful opponents and attack and defend using in and out movement.

There are plenty more similarities! If you can't see them, then that's a problem of yours.
Looking at the majority of the comments in this thread they disagree with you.

It applies to style too. Nothing about them is alike.

That's okay! Disagreements are fine but I've provided facts to substantiate my position and anybody that is open minded and competent can read them and perhaps change their opinion. Which is the purpose behind this thread!

About 7 pounds smaller than Deontay wilder who is currently 39-0 in the modern division you claim is so elite ROFL... Ali knocked out a prime, undefeated George Foreman who weighed 220 pounds. Boxing is about skills, not who weighs more. Do you even box? LMAO not likely. Keep writing Harry Potter novel size responses, doesn’t change the fact you said Joshua is better than Lewis, Holmes & Ali... plz stop talking about boxing. Ali also weighed up to 236 pounds which is only 13 smaller than joshua. Lewis, Holmes & Ali ko Joshua and would destroy and dominate every heavyweight today. Join a gym.
Deontay Wilder is a tall, athletic 6 foot 7 boxer. Which is a kind that never existed in Ali's time

And Ali at 6 foot 3, 215 pounds would be the same size as Oleksandr Usyk or Murat Gassiev. Both whom are cruiser weights that are arguably even more athletic and skilled than Ali (especially Usyk).

And George Foreman himself was only 215-220 pounds and 6 foot 3 against Ali, which is more or less the same size and dimensions as Murat Gassiev that happens to be a cruiser weight today.

And Muhammad Ali's KO percentage against opponents weighing over 215 pounds is only 33% (feather fist). So that one KO win over George Foreman doesn't prove much because most of the time, he struggled to KO opponents weighing over 215 pounds.

And there is a reason why 'weight divisions' exist and not 'skill divisions'. Do you want to know why? Because weight is more significant in combat sports than skills when it comes to determining the outcomes of bouts. Skills matter mostly when two boxers are of the same weight. However, a lighter boxer with more skills can still lose most of the time against a less skilled heavier boxer.

You know wilder only weighs 220 pounds right? That is literally 5 pounds within Frazier, Foreman, Ali, norton,Holmes Etc. Wilder, other than his height is not a huge heavyweight. I would take any of those guys over Wilder & Wlad anyday of the week. Do you really think Usyk would have beaten a prime Ali? You think Wlad/wilder beats Larry Holmes???
