Like Haymon and Mayweather? Who he already confirmed he met with and are the most powerful people he hasn't declared he won't work with?

Haymon and Mayweather are also tied to SHOWTIME, whom he declared he WON'T work with.

So read between the lines. If Dana gets UFC & Zuffa Boxing a huge TV deal on FOX, Turner, or elsewhere, and strikes a deal with Haymon to move all of his fighters, Showtime is out of the picture. It's just a question of Dana offering enough money to make it worth Haymon's while. But the way Haymon's business is set up, he has the freedom to capitalize on UFC's desire to enter boxing if they make the right offer.

Dana is tapped into a younger crowd of COMBAT SPORT FAN that boxing can only dream of getting.

Honestly Dana can jump into Boxing and make his first card Connor McGregor vs Nate Diaz in a boxing match and it would SMASH every other Boxing Event in PPV Buys EASILY. So I'm not so quick to say it won't work. Just depends on who he works with. If he works with Haymon and Mayweather is somehow involved in some capacity then absolutely it can work.

Dana White and the UFC lead the way when it comes to mismatches, underpaying their fighters and giving them the boot when their fights end up as trash. If anything boxers should steer clear from White. Absolutely no loyalty, just ask St. Pierre, Tito Ortiz, the Diaz brothers, Woodley, Sonnen, Aldo...dude is bringing a mouth and a lot of burnt bridges to boxing.

I think there is TOO much competition in boxing due to all of that IBC sh^t back in the day. If the IBC hadn't been corrupt pro boxing today might look more like every other sport where all the best fighters are fighting week in, week out cuz every sport people watch in bigger numbers than boxing gots a monopoly going on I believe, but a monopoly in boxing like all these other sports have okay'd is illegal in boxing.

So a "takeover" or anything like that isn't really in the cards. Coming in & doing things a lil different can cuz short & long term ripples doe that have a positive impact on the sport.
True true, if anything, for me, a positive impact on the sport would be something at least. I don't know about you or anyone else, but I think boxing in a smaller cage but not an octagon with mma gloves would be worth a watch too.

Conor versus Nate Diaz wouldn’t remotely compete with Floyd and Pacquiao’s numbers. Not in this generation or the next. People will pay til this day to watch Floyd lose. He can be 50 and he would still out sell both of them. The casual or hardcore boxing fans alike aren’t screaming either of their names. That would be a rude introduction to a boxing promotion given how neither can box. If anyone for one second thinks Conor wasn’t carried by Floyd is delusional about the sweet science.

Dana is right boxing has always had the talent but the promotion and it being hip was always lacking. Better promotion and selection of fights on the big stage

Top Rank has been beating the UFC in demos lately.

All Dana has to do is pray that WME throw enough money to work with Haymon.

He has nothing to offer aside from his cartoonish media persona.

With Game of Thrones coming to an end, HBO would likely need another property to drive viewership/subscribers.

HBO says to hell with boxing, runs 8 HBOPPV events for the UFC, and 15-20 UFC events on HBO, and another 15-20 events on TNT/TruTV.

Feature Saul Alvarez on PPV, and settle out whatever contracted dates that they have fighters signed to (Golovkin, Kovalev, Jacobs, Andrade), and simply move on.

Showtime becomes the home of top-flight boxing, HBO becomes the home of MMA and Canelo Alvarez on PPV, and any other HBO fighter who can't sell PPV can kick rocks.
lol so why haven't they made an offer for the UFC, now when it's available?
