If he can find a few top fighters to promote he should be able to make an impact. The problem is who is out there that's willing to jump ship.

Idk that you can just jump ship these days so if he's not aligning Zuffa Boxing with Haymon its super slim pickings.

I think even if there is a long term plan for this operation, the short term plan HAS to inform a Haymon guy or two.

I mean can who can name a main event caliber free agent who's not a Haymon guy? And hell even if you can Haymon gots the top choices. Deontay Wilder, the Charlo brothers, Errol Spence. The way Haymon's guys have been signing with promoters in the last few months I think thats the new road Haymon is going down anyway so why not sign with the UFC?

I agree. That's why he's been dropping Mayweather's name around lately. I think working with Arum or De la Hoya is out the question at this point.

Idk that that would ever happen if everyone was best buds. People seem to forget that the UFC is trying to be a promoter. Arum & ODLH are promoters. And what they most forget is Haymon isn't a promoter. Promoters don't generally team up anyway. I mean outside of a fight here or there. The UFC is the promoter & Haymon is the manager that has the biggest roster in boxing with few TV dates who's working with promoters who don't promote. Its a win win team up potentially.

"That's been a big problem with boxing.... do you know how many fighters that I've seen in my day who know that they've already got their paycheck and that's it. So I have ideas to fix it. I'm not saying that I'll come in there and fix everything. But I'm saying that I have ideas, I think I can do it better and I'm going to give it a shot."
Sounds like he's already looking to rob the fighters. Boxing has the Ali Act. It's a whole different world. You can't just say a fighter is the best. An independent sanctioning board has the rank the fighter.

But I think White could have immediate success simply because of the UFC brand. But could he sustain that success?

Didn't he already fail as a boxing promoter?

I'd like to see him try his ideas out at least.

Let's see what he brings to the table and if it can work.

Can somebody tell Dana this isn't psychology of marketing 101? I don't need to hear it 3-4x to hear ya you twit.

I agree. The problem is he's already burning bridges before he gets his foot in the door. NOBODY is just going to come in and completely change boxing, you have to work with some of the guys that are already established.

This fool is basically saying nobody has any idea what they're doing, and he can do it better than anybody in the boxing business. We'll see how long he lasts...
