I don't think Golovkin himself looked less capable, but he was being coached poorly and against an opponent who was playing to his weakness.

Its not unreasonable that a 35 year old fighter has reached his peak & is in the downward trend of his career. Far more of the great fighters we talk about were shot at 35 than were not shot by 35. That's just a fact. So its not crazy that GGG could very well be "slipping". Is he or isn't he? That's the sorta thing you can never realllllllly say til a guy's story is over cuz we just don't got the full perspective to grasp things on that level. So ultimately its all speculation, either way, right now.

I tend to believe that he is starting to degrade as a fighter based purely on his last two performances. He hasn't seemed as sharp and as explosive to me
of course physically youre not the same as 35 as your are at 25, but come on
be honest, nobody was saying a thing about his age, slippage or any of that until the man finally had a competitive fight
he isnt shot, shop worn, hasnt had any wars
he is a top fighter, but not the machine, the most feared, the killa the media and his fans want you to believe..i've been consistent and saying it a long time...people need to watch full fights of fighters and use their brain and not regurgitate what they hear so much and form their own opinions
very good fighter but i never saw anything special...thats just me

he looked unmotivated vs brook more so than slipping
its easy to look like an all time great, when youre an A class fighter, fighting C Level guys with the occasional B thrown in
he looks like the same fighter he has always been
he was never a fighter that relied on speed, movement, etc
he is efficient, a calculated destroyer so no...i dont see slippage
i saw a man actually in there with a legit guy trying to win, in his division have a close fight
nothing more or less
