first off leanord didn't beat hagler, i watched the fight many of times and i still give the fight to hagler, leanord didn't make hagler retire either hagler didn't want to be apart of that bull**** anymore he knew he won the fight and he also knew it would of been virtually impossible to get a decision over leanord just like delahoya now, leanord was a big draw for boxing especially coming back after a layoff, he looked good in the fight but in my opinion hagler won.

PBF has fought many good fighters. I respect Leonard more then any fighter, even though he beat my favorite fighter of all time in Hagler, but I'm not a Leonard hater. The man in my opinion is in top 3 P4P list of all time. It's not PBF fault, that he doesn't have guys like Hearns, Duran, Benitiz & Hagler during his era. Both Leonard & PBF is the greatest fighters I've ever seen, next to Margarito of course. I just think that PBF has little more skills then Leonard.

But, from ur earlier post, i think u should give Leonard a whole lot more credit for fighting Duran, and beating him, as well as Hagler. And not make excuses for his wins.

Look, Hagler is my favorite fighter, and I give all possible credit to Leonard for making the plan, sticking to it, and, most of all making hagler fight his fight. Nonetheless I think that more than leonard winning it is a fight that hagler lost at the table (given how close the fight was 15 rounds OR a smaller ring would have been enough to get a W, since Leonard was exhausted at the end) and in the ring (what were hagler and his corner thinking in the early rounds? moving around in an orthodox stance)

As far as Duran goes I think the 1st fight was a fluke because, as great as Duran is, Leonard lost the fight by fighting the wrong fight. I think he would have won the rematch, short notice or not, but not that spectacularly.

Leonard is an all time great, but he proved many time to be a ***** outside the ring, and I am not talkin about ducking fighters: I am talking about abusing your "popular icon/money draw" status to make the fight easier for you. Oscar De La Hoya, while a lesser boxer, might have pulled the same **** Leonard did out of the ring. He chose not to: he gets more respect from me as a man.

The point I was trying to make in the first post is that in the future when all is said and doneand we compare pbf and srl (p4p because I am sure leonard size would make sure pbfcomes out the loser in a fantasy matchup), pbf won't have pulled that ****, and that is going to matter.

Ok, so his record with close fights is even. Won some lost some.
Maybe Leonard was lucky with the second Hearns fight, but it was given as a draw.
And of course the Hagler fight.

I dont think these close fights could be called gift decisions. Not that u said they were, im just saying that becuse the big name star gets the decision, doesnt mean that it was unfairly handed to him. IMO.
