BUT all the talk on how leonard can do this and how mayweather cannot is mostly bullcrap, floyd at 130 stopped most of his opponents and at whichever weight class he fights he is as complete as a fighter could be.

what he does not have is some battles, because there are no duran, leonard and hagler to fight around.

on the other hand being in his 4th weight class you should compare floyd opposition with the donnie lalonde and the old duran fighting at 168 (LOL imagine what we would say if mayw's first defense of his 147 belt was against say an older version of castillo, with both weighing in under the 140 limit).

By the way if floyd beats de la hoya for his 5th belt, it will be much more impressive than Leonard beating lalonde at a ridiculous catchweight (remember lalonde was a 175er forced to weigh in at 167) like leonard did, but I have not much interest in this anyway:
What I want from floyd is cleaning 140, 147 by fighing hatton, cotto and margarito.

Also, when it is going to be time to evaluate floyd's career, he hopefully won't have pulled no bull**** in negotiation that is so typical of leonard: offering duran the 2nd fight on short notice, no rematch for hagler after making sure that everything in the 1st fight was perfect for him (large ring, 12 rounds...), the bull**** catchweight with lalonde.
All things he could do because he was the biggest draw, which floyd is not, so he might spare us with this crap (in fact he already gave a rematch for his only controversial win, unklike leonard)

BOTTOM LINE: PBF should not compared with SRL based on his accomplishments at 147
Well, i dont know if he would "OBVIOUSLY" beat SRL, but he would definitly be the underdog. Right now, Floyd is suffering from the Roy Jones Syndrome, hes beating his opponents too easily.

Floyd may very well wind up as great/greater than Ray leonard.
But, I seriously doubt he'll ever be as spectacular.

Two fighters so ridiculously talented.....saying one is moreso than the other doesn't mean much.

Hatton and Cotto dont want to fight, atleast not yet anyways, he has challenged them at 140 and no response. hatton people even said they dont want it, they dont even want it with Collazo no more. Cotto should of lost to Corley, he just aint ready and he really aint fought nobody. Zoo is retired and should be and if i can recall Zab was slightly gettin in that ass before the chicken dance. Delahoya is up now and Margarito will get is once he fights a contender or pushes himself. Maybe he needs to move up and fight Oouma or somebody.

And true he aint did much at 147, he just got there 2 fights ago. And im not saying he greater Sugar ray leonard, but Sugar aint too much better. Skills wise and the magic they bring to the ring is almost equivalent, edge to SRL only because people just havent realized or dont want to support how good lil floyd is. He da man right now, and very well could be one of the greates fighters of all time when things are said and done.

                Mayweather started off at 130.

Leonard won his first wold title at 147...and by beating defensive specialist, Wilfred Benitez.

The only "boxer" Leonard had trouble with was Tommy Hearns; and that was after knocking Tommy on ***** St.

Leonard had underrated power, specifially in the left hook....which helped to knock out a reigning Light-Heavyweight title holder, Donnie LaLonde.

Leonard had a gret chin, having only been stopped once in his career...at age 40.

                So, let's review.

                1. Leonard...great chin vs Mayweahter, naturally smaller fighter who couldn't stop Zab Judah, who's chin is the finest grade of porcelin.

                2. Leonard...left hook power to stop a 175 Lber vs Mayweather who's biggest power test was a former jr. welterweight (140 Lb) and former welteweight (147)lb champ.

                3. Leonard...who outboxed Benitez, who hung tough with and lost to and then came back to pyche out Roberto Duran and make him quit, who outbombed Thomas Heans, and outsmarted Marvin Hagler vs Mayweather....who's biggest wins are Hernandez, Corrales, Castillo and Judah: a 130 Lb boxer who can't punch, a 130 lb puncher who can't or won't box, a 130 swarmer who many say won the first fight, and an overrated 147 Lb speed demon with no chin.

Mayweather is special and maybe as talentd as Leonard; but at 147, in my humble opinion, Sugar Ray would rip Pretty Boy a new *******.

IMO, Duran didnt have to take the rematch at short notice. He was the champ, so i dont see how Leonard could have offered him a rematch.
Hagler also didnt have to agree to the conditions before fighting Leonard, i think its unfair to critisize Leonard for that.

And to critisize Leonard for not giving Hagler a rematch, yet not mention he gave Hearns a rematch is also biased.

But i agree with all the other crap u said.

Now, I am not going to make any predictions about PBF/Hearns fight, but comparing Corrales to Tommy Hearns makes me angry.
