He's basically confirming that if you give the benefit of every doubt to Ward, Ward wins (114-113).

If you give the benefit of every doubt to Kovalev, Kovalev wins (117-110).

There's your cone, somewhere between 114-113 Ward and 117-113 Kovalev.

Either score is acceptable if you want to give the benefit of every doubt to only one fighter.

Actually by this logic, when adding any 'cones' you like, Kovalev wins 114-113.

All level headed boxing fans accept that a 114-113 card for Ward is an acceptable score. The crybabies are just the most vocal and engage in a massive circle jerk.

What really annoys me is the style of fighter that has become preferable, especially in US judging.
If there is an even round it should go to the aggressor, effective or not.
I cant see that tying up and hooking to the body and head should even be scored.
Neither did much in many rounds, but at least Kov was scoring clean jabs, and pushing the fight.
This style is ruining the entertainment of the sport.
At least Mayweather was a master of landing clean solid counters, and pot shotting, whilst not getting hit, i didn't see any clean punches coming from Ward.

In any other country all kov had to do was step in the ring and would have won so long as he didnt get koed...all 3 judges scored it the same a plethora of boxing pundits scored it the same and not that I matter, but i scored it the same too...he lostba close decision..it happens..

History doesn't like losers so from 10 years from now people will be thinking of this fight as of dominant performance of Ward who schooled "the bum" and it doesn't matter what you or other people think or how close this fight was, the official scorecards is the only thing that matters for history

And American judges have every right to rob Russian fighters and favoring their guy, that's just how this world works. If you know that you're in hostile surroundings, then don't leave it to judges, or that talk about how you were robbed is just an excuse, because you knew where you were going to

Cute. Yes, me, someone who is a fan of both guys and hasn't trashed either, is just lost to bias. But, the angry conspiracy theorist who endlessly bashed Ward before the fight is the voice of reason? You already showed your cards before the fight. You don't get to pretend you're not biased now.

Really? a fun of both guys? Well you did write (before fight night) that you would not be surprised that Kova wins but you were firmly in favor of Ward.
