that fight will 100% be a boxing match
the better fighter will win
the guys who are suggesting that Kovalev will walk through Ward are tripping
best of luck to both guys

Going out on a limb here... Kov drops Ward with an uppercut. Not guaranteeing Kovalev wins, but Ward has prime uppercut real estate sitting there on his chin in every fight... just waiting to be landed on. Brand nearly landed a few times, Boone did land some to drop him, and I'm sure JDJ knows about it.

Ward always offers great insights, like here when he says LHW is a division in which you must have an emphasis on explosiveness and strength. In the Barrera fight I don't think he had his body dialed in. He looked bulky and mobility was a little diminished. Vs Brand, he was tighter and exhibited movement that he had at 168.

Ward is not really that skillful to begin with. He's not the fastest, not the biggest puncher, dosent have much of a right hand, not the best punch selection and a shaky chin. His best punch is either the jab or a short left hook coming off the break almost like a sucker punch. He dosent have a deep tool box to choose from, he just has his few weapons and he makes it work for himself. His strengths are his mental toughness, physical strength, endurance, timing, and probably his best asset is his ability to make adjustments on the fly.
