BMI?? I hope he didn't work out what class he should be in due to BMI.
Depending on what point of camp a boxer is in, he could jump from the extreme lows to extreme highs. Much better than ways to work weight out than BMI.

Barring clinching and headbuttz out the wazoo, this fight will end up like that Monty Python 'Bring Out Your Dead' sketch.

Personally I think Sergei is in for a rude awakening. Either that or I'm in for the shock of a lifetime because I expect Ward to beat Kovalev and make it look fairly easy.

Guess it depends on your perspective & what you specifically enjoy in the sport. Some people prefer throwing the ball down the field, while others like defensive strategy & limiting opponents.
Certain businessmen would claim they haven't gone bankrupt, simply taken advantage of the laws of this country. Others would always pay for their promises & purchases no matter the sacrifice.
Rules are set in place to enforce fair play, most try to take advantage where they can but there always remains a line. It's your stance & perspective that determines your allegiance.
I certainly hope this is a clean bout displaying great boxing skill, no matter who wins.
This is what I'd be concerned about. Ward has appeared a little sluggish but that may be chalked up to opposition. Nothing to gauge where he is now & it's a very big step up from recent years. His endurance has never been his strongest asset.

I think Ward has had a great lead up preparation for this fight and it started when he came back from an extended lay off , he dont need tough grinding he need refinement and to find his rhythm , like a champion racehorse is prepared for a year or more to peak for one race on one day , Ward has had this kinda prep and will be in the zone on the night , its a great contest Im looking forward to it .

In all fairness, almost every fighter says this in an interview before a marquee fight and that goes for the undefeated king pins down to the jobbers. MMA fighters are the same way. In Ward though you have an undefeated fighter who is not far from his Prime, arguably still in the tail end of it, so you tend to believe his word more than the average combatant.

With Ward, he's getting into the ring with a bigger man who can also box very good as we saw in the Hopkins fight, and who can punch very hard as we've seen throughout the last 3 years of Kovalev's career. As a fan of both, i'm very nervous for Ward, not for Kovalev, because I know Ward won't hurt Kovalev but I know Kovalev can hurt any 168-175 pounder. I also know Ward can outbox any 168-175 pounder, but can he dodge/block every power punch Kovalev will throw at him? My stomach is gonna go crazy when these two are facing eachother in the middle of the ring with the ref in between them, that's the most nervous times of a big fight
