Smith bombed? So you're admitting that Smith contributed to Alvarez's latest PPV or Alvarez did that all for himself because Smith was a ''no name?'' Did the boxing world sleep a whole year where a 154 WBO champ defended his belt twice?
How was AT&T stadium btw? Is stadium attendance new to boxing? irrelevant? or is PPV the cherry picked statistic even though it did good for Alvarez' 2016 PPV Net total?
I said he made 250,000-300,000 PPV's against Liam Smith.
Those were good numbers. But it highlights that without a big name opponent like Floyd and Cotto, he doesn't do HUGE numbers. Which means that anyone who believes that Canelo should get 70-75% of the purse, is an absolute moron of the highest order.Last edited by robertzimmerman; 10-30-2016, 10:24 AM.

Lmao you make it sound like my opinion is the end all be all of when these fights happen. I'm not GBP or the WBO. They could make Canelo number 1 mando at middleweight by February. I franky do not know.
If the Jacobs negotiations are considered priority then I have very little faith in the Saunders negotiations. Saunders is 10x harder to deal with then Jacobs and they have been negotiating with Jacobs for 2 months.
Again, Saunders has to fight 2 mandatories before he can consider Golovkin. Canelo is closer to number 1 spot than Golovkin is so even if K2 makes Saunders the number 1 priority it won't make a bit of difference until Saunders fights two mandos.
You have a habit of doing it.
Again, even if Saunders has to take 2 mandatories, barring an injury, he'll be free early next year. His 2nd fight will probably happen in January-February. So he will be free to fight before Canelo is. And that would give K2 a big advantage.

GBP: ''why do you keep bringing up Liam Smith in our negotiations?''
K2: ''we did 97k PPV...''
GBP: ''and again, before we go any further...Alvarez has a net of 4.7 million PPV his entire career.''
K2: ''...ummm, maybe it's time for lunch!''

Also, you didn't say anything that related to what you highlighted.
Of course what I said is related if you bothered to read it.
GGG needs Canelo to make a career payday. Canelo needs GGG to make a career payday. So only an idiot would say "GGG should accept a flat fee" when it's a double edged sword. Why does GGG have to the bad business deal when Canelo needs GGG as well?

BJS is not fighting this year. You are delusional if you think he is. He has an injury and the time it takes to negotiate a fight + an 8 week training camp wouldn't have him fighting until January and that is if his team makes a fight this week. BJS isn't about to go from fighting not once this year to twice by January. So again, you are delusional lmfao.
Canelo will get mando spot deal with it.

Both Frank and Billy have both said they want 2 back to back fights in quick succession. Which means that unless he gets injured, his 2nd fight will be early next year. All of which means that even if he has to face 2 mandatories next, he should be free for around March-April. Whereas we know Canelo wouldn't be free until around July onwards, unless he fights before his next proposed date in May.
He literally just got into training camp a week ago.
Edit: Damn just found out he is fighting Akavov November 26. You right, you right.

10million is half of Canelo's salary for 1 fight against Amir ****ing Khan whereas 10 million is double Golovkin's biggest payday.
