Apparently it doesn't work that way around here.
    Dago is a joker.

He says a GG fight can't quadruple Canelo's purses.

Yet he made $5m for Cotto, and the Smith fight bombed with only 250,000-300,000 PPV buys, where he got a percentage on top of his guaranteed $3.5m.

These guys also love to quote GG's figures against Lemieux, but they won't take into account his fight with Brook that did over 500,000 buys, with over 850,000 people having watched it on HBO.

    GG is on the rise.

Sure, Canelo is more popular with a bigger fan base, and yes, he deserves the lions share. But without a big name opponent such as Floyd or Cotto, Canelo doesn't do huge numbers.

Anybody who thinks that Canelo deserves around 70% of the purse, is an absolute moron.

Again, if a fighter is paid for there worth then guys like Willie Monroe, Dominic Wade, and Adama should have made about 1% tops of the purse because I'm willing to bet the house that at least 99% of those people watched just for Golovkin.

If you are being paid 4x your biggest pay day then you have no room to talk. Especially in Golovkin's shoes. He NEEDS Canelo not the other way around. Canelo will get the WBO belt then it will only make things tougher for Golovkins negotiations. Now if GGG won and he had all the belts then he could have a rematch clause where he calls the shots and gets the big piece. He would literally be able to do whatever he wants with Canelo and would be the biggest draw.
Why are you making it sound like a given that Canelo will get the WBO belt?

      We've discussed this.

You think he's going to have a warm up in May like I do, with him possibly trying to fight Saunders after.

Yet that would give K2 a lot of time to try and make the fight first.

BJS has 2 mandatory defenses he has to make before he can fight Golovkin. Canelo has the WBO lmw belt and will be ranked in the mando for BJS next year.

Alvarez made 900K PPV in 2016. stop trolling.

Smith bombed? So you're admitting that Smith contributed to Alvarez's latest PPV or Alvarez did that all for himself because Smith was a ''no name?'' Did the boxing world sleep a whole year where a 154 WBO champ defended his belt twice?

How was AT&T stadium btw? Is stadium attendance new to boxing? irrelevant? or is PPV the cherry picked statistic even though it did good for Alvarez' 2016 PPV Net total?

Canelo's injury didn't help anything. If you deny that then that is on you.

K2 won't come back with ****, they are greedy broke boys who want to pay everyone bum salaries for a fighter that can't even sell decent on ppv when it is a unification bout that made GGG undisputed. If they were serious about fighting BJS they would have offered more than 2 million.
Again, you have implied that only Canelo's injury prevented it.

Look, you've said that you don't think Canelo will fight Saunders until after next Summer. Yet here you are implying that it almost happened for this year. If that was the case, he'd be pushing for it next. But we both don't believe he's going to do that.

K2 have already spoken to Frank Warren, and yes, they will be back next year, as Saunders will be their number 1 priority after the Jacobs fight.

They weren't as serious about fighting Saunders last year and earlier on this year, as they obviously wanted to fight Canelo instead. Now their circumstances have changed. I don't know why you find it so hard to believe that they can't/won't come back with a better offer.

                Idiot.
You said he couldn't quadruple Canelo's purse.

                I gave you Miguel Cotto.

                Here's another one:

                Liam Smith.

Exactly as in yes he has to fight multiple opponents to make 10 million.

Do you just spend your entire day defending other men's opinions on the internet? Unless you are that guy then that post is not directed at you. I say certain things to certain users because each user has different opinions on each subject. Do you have identical opinions as him?
Yes, I know what a comma is, thanks.

Do you know the difference between 2-3 and 4?

                  You're so biased.

I don't know how you have the nerve to call anyone a fan boy.

Do you just spend your entire day hating on GG?

The implication is your error. All I said was that Canelo's injury didn't help, if you think that means that is the only reason the fight didnt happen then the error is on you.

Lmao you make it sound like my opinion is the end all be all of when these fights happen. I'm not GBP or the WBO. They could make Canelo number 1 mando at middleweight by February. I franky do not know.

If the Jacobs negotiations are considered priority then I have very little faith in the Saunders negotiations. Saunders is 10x harder to deal with then Jacobs and they have been negotiating with Jacobs for 2 months.

Again, Saunders has to fight 2 mandatories before he can consider Golovkin. Canelo is closer to number 1 spot than Golovkin is so even if K2 makes Saunders the number 1 priority it won't make a bit of difference until Saunders fights two mandos.

I think Warren could negotiate with the WBO. But even if he can't, the first of those defences will be next month against a low level opponent. Both Frank and Billy have both said they want 2 back to back fights in quick succession. Which means that unless he gets injured, his 2nd fight will be early next year. All of which means that even if he has to face 2 mandatories next, he should be free for around March-April. Whereas we know Canelo wouldn't be free until around July onwards, unless he fights before his next proposed date in May.
