    Messy situation.
He said it this week. He said they were working on the 5th draft of the contract. Then he went on to speak about the Brook-Vagas fight. He said he'll be losing money on the Vargas-Brook fight if the Eubank-GGG fight doesn't get done. Then he said he was meeting with Brook to discuss the Vargas fight. Fast forward to yesterday and the fight is announced, And they said it only took 48 hours to make the fight. That was 48 hours after he gave that interview.

If Jr didn't see the contract, it's cause apparently his promoter is not allowed to talk to him directly, all communication goes through Sr
Come on man, you don't believe the story that they're giving you are you ?

I just think that most of it was a smokescreen. That this fight was in the making before yesterday.

It's no lose for Brook except hell most likely catch a beating. But this is a horrendous pick by K2/ Gennady. Ok everyone's supposedly ducking at 160 why Skip over the whole stacked 54 division and pick a WW or go up to 168

My point is Hearn wouldn't make the Vargas-Brook fight unless the Eubank Jr-Golovkin fight was made because he said that fight would ease the pain from the loss he's going to take with Eubank-Vargas. That's why Brook hadn't signed the contract. Hearn was negotiating a deal with GGG-Brook too.

That's why this theory doesn't make any sense. Gennady already said he wasn't interested in Brook before because he's smaller. He specifically said Brook is too small and he wants to focus on middleweight. So why would they purposely want to fight Brook and do so in secret when Gennady wasn't interested in him? Makes no sense. The logical answer is that they were trying to fight Eubank and working with Hearn to make the fight. Eubank Sr was making demands that Hearn couldn't deliver, or wouldn't deliver, they couldn't get the deal done then offered k2 Brook instead with the same type of deal and k2 accepted. There is no other logical explanation. Brook was already having issues with Vargas, he adamantly stated he wanted Golovkin over the past several months so Hearn offered it to him, he accepted, boom deal is done.

We already know for a fact Golovkin tried to fight Canelo. He tried to fight Billy Joe Saunders. So why wouldn't he have tried to fight Eubank since Eubank was calling him out every five minutes?

I think you're looking too deep into it. As mentioned, after the Tom Doran fight, Eddie and Snr made reference to the meeting they would both be having with Sky on the following Monday (a meeting where Hearn says he expects Snr to bite Sky's head off as usual). So it's clear there were issues on the Eubank side from the very start.

Eddie wouldn't be so open and say everything he's said this past week knowing the motor mouth Snr has on him. If there was no deal and the Eubank's were simply used as a smokescreen, Snr would have no problems protecting his fighter's rep and making it known.

The fight is in 2 months, this Eubank punk just took weeks to back out. There's an offer on the table for 2x his career high at least, I'd guess, plus huge exposure he was looking for in the UK. It's hard to pass on for nothing

Just read in another thread that Golovkin's manager said the Eubank's were wasting everyone's time and were never ready to sign. Doesn't that kinda put an end to this? Or are we assuming he's lying too?

First off Brook wasn't having issues with Vargas, HEARN tried to cut his offer by 20% at the last minute, Like who the f.uck does that and why would TR & Vargas accept that. Vargas had signed Brook hadnt because they probably offered him sh.it $ knowing he'd balk and then swoop in with a high offer for GGG. But I find it hard to believe HEARN was doing his best to make those 2 fights had trouble then had a lightbulb moment and made those 2 into 1 and everyone involved was onboard and 20 min later it was all done

Like everyone thought Saunders over priced himself and was quick to diss him, It took more $ to get Brook in the ring. ,So did Saunders duck or wanted to be paid fairly same with Jacobs

I don't even put the blame on Gennady he'll fight whoever K2 wants whether it Ward, Brook,Lara , Canelo , Fury **** even Chicolatito whoever , the guys a champ and I don't think he'd duck anyone , But Loefflers and f.ucking clown

Your always a GGG apologist like be objective this isn't a good opponet for GGG it proves nothing. And his competition level has actually gone downhill in the last 1 1/2 years , like how the f.uck is that possible
