It would have made no difference, just like it shouldn't make a difference in this situation.

some of the reasons he gave about boxing being dangerous enough without peds don't make alot of sense in these circumstances.

So I wonder had someone told Wilder and his team that half of Russia including Povetkin was taking an obscure Latvian drug which has some tenuous links to increased performance, would have have said no way and pulled out for safety reasons ?
It was legal back then so had he turned down the fight he would've looked like a damn fool.

What are the effects of meldonium? I read it's like caffeine and creatin, should they ban caffeine and creatin?

First of all, not sure how widely known melodium actually was before Maria Sharapova admitted to using the stuff.

Wilder has been hinting at the idea that he thinks that Povetkin was on something, and a random testing regime last year wouldn't have been able to pick anything up (unless his promoter/manager is on top of their game, as Povetkin's camp, I think, would have to disclose whatever supplements that he was taking).

Wilder would've still whooped that ass, I think

If you took a drug test for a job and they found 70 nanograms of coke in your system do you think you'd get the job?

Was coke legal up until a couple months ago? Ok then.

That depends, from what i read (and it could be false) they are allowed to have over 10 times that amount in their system. So if it was acceptable to have that amount of ******* in your system then yes.

however i am against PEDs even though i know the sad reality of our sport that majority of the fighters use them or use methods to get around them like IV drips or whatever....

                  oh well

This is the thing which the moral indignation crowd don't seem to get. Athletes will continue to take whatever the hell they can get away with, and the only thing separating a cheater from a clean athlete most often is simply whether they get busted or not. If the drug is legal then so much the better. No chance of any repercussions at all. So why not take it?
