i'm sure golovkin will be willing to accept 158 or even 157 when the actual negotiations with canelo begin (if canelo ever agrees to negotiate). his team's hard stance on 160 is clearly just a tactic so they don't get completely ****d at the table and forced down to canelo's absurd 155 division, only 1 lb above jr middleweight

For comparion's sake, Andre Ward is 32, his best wins are Kessler, Abraham, Froch, and Dawson, plus he's signed to fight Kovalev in November. I mean hell, he's fighting Sullivan Barrera this Saturday who is as good as anyone Golovkin has ever fought!

Wilder vs Szpilka was publicised as having VADA testing, but it didn't happen. Why do you think that was?

Golovkin is a rare fighter in that 10 years as a pro, his weight has fluctuated very little, even as a prospect.
His lowest professional weight was 158.5lb and his highest has been 161.25lb. That's an insanely small range and I can't think of another fighter period who over 10 years and 30+ fights that have fluctuated so little. Too much credit is given to young fighters who's bodies out grow a division and thus they have to move up, when they were in fact doing massive weight cuts to begin with in order to have a size advantage.

Fighting the wades and Monroes of the world on the regular and a lemmy and murray type every now and then wont cut it if he wants to be considered a great fighter or become a star
