Loma will end up fighting Walters, and Rigo will be sitting out there with no one to fight and making way, way less than 500,000 in his next fight.

If he had the chance, he should have jumped on it. Fairly or not, he doesn't sell tickets and networks don't want him. His options are limited.

So, why would you pay rigo more?
Cause Rigo vs Loma is a headlining fight while Loma vs a prospect will be yet another boring undercard event.

Arum has done a terrible job with Loma and against a small, old Rigo Loma has the chance to get the biggest scalp in his career. Somebody that has more amateur accomplishments than even Loma hismelf.

Rigo should walk away. Rigo needs to find a new promotion company and make the money he deserves. Time is not on his side.

He made 350 k in his last fight, training for one week. He didn't have Pedro Diaz in his team so I think that was a pretty good earning after not having fought for a year. Loma isn't fighting Walter. Klimas and Loma have said many times that they are not fighting as he doesn't bring a belt to the fight and can't make weight.

Arum ain't working with al Haymon unless it goes to a purse bid and Loma's career has been going down the drain and it hasn't even taken off yet, which is a shame.

Hey I'd like to see the fight too but economically speaking it doesn't make much sense because rigo has no following and generates no money. On top that he is becoming unwatchable. hes creating an obstacle to this fight and doesn't know his true value. I wouldn't be begging him or overpaying him to fight when there are plenty of other options at that weight class if arum just stops being a prick.

Arum does not owe Rigo anything. Loma is the guy he has to look out for. $500,000 is more than either of them deserve to be frank.

Rigo is not in the position to play hardball and Arum is not in the business of losing money, especially a fight that is a financial high risk.

$500,000 is more money than than he would get sitting around doing nothing.

Why can't Roc Nation offer Loma money to fight Rigo? You can spin this multiple ways.

No way fighting a guy like Loma at a higher weight worth 500 000k.

This is the biggest fight that can be made at the lower divisions. People may dis on Rigo and love the others but we all know if Rigo vs Loma gets made it's a classic and has no equal.

Rigo's got two olympic golds vs Loma has two olympic golds. Loma has two world championships, Rigo 3. They are both undefeated and the best amateur fighters in the past 20 years if not more.

Skill for skill I don't remember the last fight that was made that would have the skill and the boxing IQ that these two possess.

I think Rigo is the better fighter but what else has Rigo got going on? Remember, this is a job and the job market is competitive. He obviously can't ask whatever he wants because his value has only gone down as of late. If no one is in the market for a Rigo, then he can't act like he's entitled to big money. He's worth what anyone is willing to pay him and that ain't much these days. How many more years can he fritter away? 2 at best?

I can see why Rigo is offended by this offer. There are fighters that are far less accomplished than he is, making a million plus for fights that don't even come close to the magnitude of Loma-Rigo...

So what will happen is... Everyone will stand their ground... and no fight will be made...
