And if anybody should take less money it's Loma. He's got 5 fights 1 loss. Hasn't really had any exciting fights and his fanbase ain't as large either.

Besides Loma has a financial adviser that is notorious for taking low offers. Just look at Kovalev, he's getting ****d fight after fight but this I think has nothing to do with either one but with Arum.

Arum tried to get Rigo to lose against fighters from his stable and they are all done now.

He wants to make Walters vs Loma. He doesn't want Rigo.

Not really. Loma should get less based on his records, accomplishments, tkoes, headlining a card and so on and so forth. But I am sure Rigo will agree with equal purse it's just Arum dude hence the low ball offer.

They said it would raise his stock after the Donaire win and all that did was get him blackballed by HBO and make other fighters not want to get in the ring with him. Also didn't help that his own promoter was saying how boring he is

He dominated Donaire who at the time was a top 5 p4p fighter. The narrative is Rigo is a boring fighter who will dominate for 12 rds. A win over Loma does nothing to change that unless he abandons his style and goes for an early KO.

Then perhaps he should go back to Japan because he isn't getting any offers here is he?

I am glad you're not advising fighters.
No need for the jab, it's just a personal opinion of mine. Rigondeaux isn't getting any younger and opportunities are slim. I also believe that Rigondeaux will beat Loma so I think it's worth it. Now if you're in the camp that thinks Loma beats Rigondeaux, sure, maybe it's not a good idea.

Speaking of little fighters, Roman Gonzales is asking for 2 million to fight Estrada.
Or better yet, Leo Santa Cruz wanted $3 million to fight Rigondeaux. Some of these guys need to come down to earth.

Instead of pocketing the difference now promoters might actually have to pay the little guys. What a terrible thing.

He's smart to avoid the fight though. Lomachenko is bigger and every bit as good.
But the networks complained after the biggest win of his career, Donaire. Then Arum put him on HBO against Agbeko which was terrible match making. Top Rank is known for it's world class matchmaking. I still think Bob did that on purpose to sabotage Rigo for beating his next Pacquioa. After the Agbeko fight Arum was everywhere telling people how the networks hate Rigo and they throw up at the mention of his name. But then Rigo KO's Kokietgym in the first round and went on to have a great fight against A****sa. Roc Nation f*ced up by having him fight on PPV on two weeks notice smh.

A win over Loma does a lot for Rigondeaux as he becomes WBO featherweight champion which would set up other big fights in the division (or he can still fight at the division below). It's better than beating some unknown guy that's for sure.

I want to see him fight Frampton/Quigg winner next but will that happen next? Doubt it.

Rigondeaux is in a tough spot. He has to do something soon though.

Rigo got blacklisted for the Donaire win, which was not boring. It was just outclassing the best at your division and he's paying for it.

I don't have excuses for Rigo when he has a bad performance but if it's just his last fight and Agbeko, that ain't that bad out of what 16 fights?
