The Wade fight appears unacceptable to you as a fan. If it is, the question becomes who should GGG fight instead, given Johnson is hurt and Saunders said no?

Would you as a fan prefer NDjam or Lara?

It's also BS to say unifying isn't important to fans and/or fighters. There isn't much more one can accomplish than winning all the belts in a division. Only a very few fighters have actually won all four belts in a division. Certainly an elite group.
What about the last part of the post? who should GGG fight instead, given Johnson is hurt and Saunders said no?Would you as a fan prefer Wade, NDjam or Lara? someone else?

At the end of the day GGG fans only want to focus on the guys wont fight GGG" part and not the "who does GGG pick when he doesn't get the fight he wants" part.

We all agree with GGG fans an understand certain guys avoid him. Knowing that, GGG is forced to find guys to fight. As such, who he and his team pick to fight is something we should all discuss.

YOu would have a valid point if this was 1985. But its 2016. you have posted several times that belts are worthless and meaningless. With or without the belt, most still believe GGG is the best MW in the world.

In this situation, GGG's IBF belt is forcing him into a fight no one wants to see. Vacating the belt doesn't remove him from being the mandatory for Canelo, which is the fight he really wants.

I guess its Wade or NDjam.
I've never said that belts are worthless and meaningless. In fact, I've argued against that idea many times.

There can be times when giving up a belt is the best option for a fighter who has a big enough name and fan base to be able to do it. But GGG is not in that lucky position yet.

Wade is not a great opponent for GGG, but neither was Johnson, and mandatories have to be gotten out of the way. Right now is actually a pretty good time for Golovkin to do just that.

They're probably fighting another bum, then promote it by using GG's name.

And didn't he call out the winner of Quillin/Jacobs fight? What happened?

cmon Dunn, you're smarter than that so Im not sure if you're having logic problems today or just trying to start some jazz.

You know damn well that whether YOU think its important or not, Team GGG has been consistent with their claim of wanting to unify the titles. And you also know damn well that the IBF chose Wade, not Team GGG, so just stop with this nonsense....

Tyson Fury dropped his belt to avoid a crap mandatory. Not a single fuck was given. Be like Fury.

At some point we have to stop making excuses. I get it unification all that jazz but if we get q or 2 horrible as fights from Golovin each year, especially if he's only fighting 2x a year now, that's absolutely unacceptable. I don't give a **** if he picks up every single belt from each of those orgs, theres like hundreds of them. Fights like Golovin vs. Wade should never happen. Period.

Spot on. It's a long time since boxing has had an undisputed, unified champ in any division.

A fighter who wins all the belts in his division does not need to worry about having elite names on his resume.

                  He becomes elite himself.

He didn't drop his belt to avoid the mandatory, you know that so stop lying.

Lara is a joke. He really wanted GGG he'd interrupt his press conference like he did to get the Canelo fight.
Why are people still talking about this loser? He needs to be as forgotten as Richard Abril.
