the support for lara is a backlash against golovkin. it's fairly obvious. these same people will call lara a 154 lber and unproven at 160 if golovkin were to beat him. and they'd be right! lara isn't a legitimate challenger at 160 any more than monroe JR, dan geale, etc. lara's a better fighter p4p, yes, but he's actually a small 154 lber who entertained moving to 47 early on.

geale, monroe, anybody has a better resume at 160 lbs. lara doesn't even fight there! you can't give him credit in the division when he doens't fight there.

you guys don't seem to pay divisions any mind when they don't fit an agenda. they matter. a contender at 154 is not a contender at 160. he is not!

unless he fights at 160, campaigns there, he's a 154 lber, and he cannpot complain that eh can't get a title shot at 160. that is exactly what he is doing. he stays at 154 and talks about a title shot.

you guys put the blame on golovkin? hey lara! want a shot at 160? fight some 160 lbers . if you start tearing through the division and golovkin doesn't fight you you'll have a case for being ducked. until then you're hiding at 154.
But weren't you the one calling for Mayweather to accept GGG's challenge at 154?

By all means, please explain what GGG did at 154 to earn a title shot at Mayweather?

C'mon man i know you love defensive kind of fighter but praising lara would be the best name on little g's resume is so bias.

Lara, murray, lemiuex are on the same level. Lara might be better than the last two in term of tecnique and slightly more famous but as a fighter overall they're at the same level, they just contender.

Yes, Fury is being defined by what he has accomplished, not by the belts. Golovkin keeping the the belts won't change who he is. If he's fighting Canelo next, the IBF belt is not important whatsoever. The same way the MW IBF belt has been completely irrelevant for the past 10 years. And if doesn't get Canelo, beating Lara in a way Canelo couldn't get close to will certainly undisputedly seal him as the the best middleweight boxer in the world. Fighting Wade and keeping his belt will do squat shit for him.
Fury got the biggest prize in his division, so is #1 in all the ratings. Despite being a much more dominant champ Ggg hasn't got that opportunity nor has ever been #1 in the ratings. It'll be a good analogy if Canelo gets beat and exercises a rematch, the GGG gets stripped by the IBF

Also don't understand the bolded. He's only not undisputed on paper, and Lara won't change that. Hell he's not even a MW
