Abso-fkin-lutely not! Every PPV UFC event is littered with crappy undercards, end up just fast forwarding to the main event which is just 15 minutes and not even that at times. I skipped past hours of ****e to the Aldo-Connor fight which lasted 30 seconds. Even the most boring boxing fights sh|ts all over a UFC PPV. The only reason these 2 are popular is because shameless Dana White uses most of his revenue on hype and mentioning Mayweather every week. You could literally see the fear on his face when his cash cow (Rousey) got sparked.

Additionally it's not about who would you rather be, because none of us are getting a cent.

And yes McGregor is more popular.
So again I ask, would you rather be more popular and make less money or less popular and make more money?

        UFC is awesome!!! (Sometimes)

Atleast they put their top ranked guys against other top ranked guys.

Not every fight is gonna be a classic, but they still put on decent shows.

Especially during those weekends when it's between a ****ty Showtime card, or a decent free UFC event its UFC all day for me.

With the exception of one guy (who was ranked at #11 in his weight class) the last card he was on featured top ten ranked guys in every single fight of the main card. Not in showcases or gimme fights, but against one another.

Canelo and Verdejo if both of them keep winning, Especially if Canelo beats GGG, im pretty sure this 2 will run boxing, i really think Verdejo will be the biggest star that Boxing has produced even Bob Arum said it.

Canelo, garcia, broner all have bigger guarantee purses than Mcgregor.

So what does it matter if mcgregor is more popular than whatever boxer, if that boxer still earns a bigger purse in the ring?

Bottom line, popular or not. Boxers make more money than cage fighters.

              That is a fact.

I rather be canelo Alvarez than conor mcgregor any day of the week.

Canelo made 6.5 million guaranteed to fight cotto
Mcgregor made 500k guaranteed to fight aldo

              Who would you rather be?

              Mcgregor more popular doe
The UFC is a PRIVATE company, what figures you see aren't always what the fighters get.

McGregor made between 7-9million for his last fight. Ronda makes around that much too and GSP was getting 5 mill per fight when he fought. Don't look into those figures too much, especially for the top fighters. It's usually correct for the low to mid tier fighters.

Number of internet searches this year won't tell the whole story. Canelo has been around a lot longer than McGregor. Boxing fans, even casual boxing fans, already know who he is and what's going on with his career. They also know where to go for the latest news on him, without needing to google his name.

And Canelo will most likely still be a big name in boxing after McGregor loses and goes back to being just one of the pack in the UFC.

There have been a few exceptions, but UFC stars don't usually remain in the "superstar" bracket for very long.

                  Valdes could be another.

GGG may get there soon, although he is above 30. Still though.

they said this about victor ortiz

valdez doesn't do it for met yet. verdejo still looks like he's got the goods, but let's make sure he gets a win over somebody in the top 50 first before we break out the anointing oil

                    No there is not.

Rhonda has been positioned as the #1 sports *** symbol. She's blonde and not ugly so she appeals to the 18-49 male demographic coveted by advertisers.

McGregor exceeded the expectations his sh-t talking created by beating the 2 best FW in UFC, including Aldo in 13 secs when he hadn't lost in 10 years.

Both benefit from the fact ESPN and FoxSports heavily cover MMA.
