    Canelo is the only one.

Last night at the bar UFC announcing Conor fight was all the talk. The MMA sport is growing boys!! We need to stop the boxing divide and just enjoy the fights

I feel the same way. When I do watch UFC, my favorite part is when they're throwing punches. And that is just nowhere near the level of pro boxing.

The technique is severly lacking, which is why the MMA guys who train with boxing trainers or have had an amateur career are usually kicking major ass....GSP, McGregor, Holm, many many fighters....The Gracies influenced MMA a lot but everyone isn't effective with BJJ nor have the skill of a fighter whose blood line created it.

I remember when UFC was like a Kumite, with many different style of fighters seeing who is the best, now there is a basic MMA style....a lil dis and a lil dat

Additionally it's not about who would you rather be, because none of us are getting a cent.

And yes McGregor is more popular.
People like you have been saying this since the 1940s. And guess what?

Boxing is still more popular with the bigger stars.

I hate hearing guys talk about the lack of technique displayed by MMA fighters cuz all I gotta do is remember that the heavyweight championship was contested between two men who showed pathetic technique and skills for a world class level title fight. Just saying..... Also remember that about 65% of MMA fighters come from a background that is not boxing or kickboxing.

Khan is by far the biggest star in this department, his collective earnings surpass Rousey and McGregor combined by at least 5 times or more, taking into consideration advertising and sponsorship money. They're not even in the same league.

you have a point and boxers get paid more.....our top ten and fringe contenders get paid better than there fighters

the difference is Boxing is a world sport....UFC is big in the US and the UK

There are boxers in Europe, Asia and Mexico who don't even have to leave there countries to make millions

MMA fighers make crumbs compared to boxers

Yea ufc usually stacked their cards.

They just put conor mcgregor and holly holm on the same card for ufc 197.

In the USA McGregor is bigger. Ronda is fading away fast after that loss and probably won't fight anymore.

The problem with McGregor is that he's always one fight away from losing half of his popularity, just like what happened to Ronda. If he gets demolished in spectacular fashion against RDA after all the trash talk he'll look like an idiot. He's popular with casual MMA fans but in the hardcore MMA fan community he isn't that liked.

Also, UFC invested millions in promoting McGregor and spreading the hype, they also stacked both his PPV card (one of them featured the fight of the year and the other one had a very important MW title fight between two guys in their prime).

Yea just heard that rousey won't be fighting at ufc 200.

is there any mma star bigger than floyd mayweather or manny pac?

i understand the question concerning the age

but mma stars seem to get KO'd more easily than boxing stars

that KO that ronda took is definitely going to reduce her MMA stardom

A KO would do the same thing to mcgregor
