Sorry to say but Lucas has been finished ever since the Garcia fight. Garcia took something out of him.

I like Lucas...for some reason I just wanna see the dude win....I only have two welters on my team...Swift and Khan...so as long as he's not fighting either of them I would cheer for him and wish him well

Viva La Maquina, very tall fighters who are excellent boxers like Postol and Crawford are nightmares for Lucas but there are plenty of fighters at 147 that love to ****. If you think you can out**** Lucas and make him quit, you have another thing coming. Alexander and Corley said he hit harder than Maidana and Judah said he hits harder than Cotto. As long as he hasn't declined immensely physically and now that he's had a couple of months off he should be fresh and raring to go. Viva La Maquina!!!

These comments are laughable, he beat Provodnikov more decisively than anyone else and Danny's the one who's been fighting soft touches and arguably lost two. I like DSG but these are facts.

They will be careful to match him against any full fledge welterweight; they'll try to get him paydays against smaller, lighter hitting guys like Khan, Algieri, maybe Crawford, but not Garcia managed by Haymon who Oscar still has a $300M lawsuit against. Matty may very well end up one & done at 147. He's shot, too many wars.
Lucas has a small frame but he came in against Molina and Ortiz and 157, he certainly can put a few pounds on.

They let his @ss cheat! He should of been deducted MULTIPLE times for holding but instead received MULTIPLE warnings and wrist slaps!

Not hard to win when you have 4" reach advantage and you can just punch, grab, hang all your weight on them, and then repeat...
Because that's how the sport of boxing works around NSB. Fight hard, take on tough challengers and give them hell in exciting fights, throw in your own towel once so that you may fight another day (and don't end up like Margarito), lose a few crowd-pleasing fights against top opposition, and you're "washed up".

I like Matts and don't think he's finished but his chances are a lot better at 140. I'd like to see him against the Russian who just beat Cuenca.

Matthysse is the equivalent of Tito Santana from the WWF years ago. He's ok, but he will never be good enough to be a world champ. No matter what weight his inability to box and his over reliance on power to win fights will always keep him a notch below the top.
