I think you replied to the wrong guy. However what you're saying is just misleading, Robinson fought almost 200 times! Surely you'll get beat every now and then because of the excessive workload and evolution doesn't state that things get better, it states that things adjust over time. I would say in terms of hand to hand combat, evolution is affecting that negatively. I mean do you really think the average man today could go out into the wild and hunt, survive and kill better then man 5000 years ago? Or is he more made for the office?

Broner, with the mind of Mayweather and the aggression of Porter.

My apologies firstly about wrong person...no I don't think a man could go hunt in the winter with his bare hands like 5000 years ago...but the cavemen could not build an engine or fly to the moon as well so it's 2 ways. ..I think boxing reached its peak with the late 80's and has gradually gone back now....but that's becaue of differnt sports....I don't belive Robinson was any more special than the likes of Ali, leonard or Jones ..that's what I mean m8

You have to talk about the guys who had it all, defence, offence, and exceptional athleticism. The likes of Leonard, Robinson, and Ali fall into that category I think.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Larry Holmes.

SRL or SRR both great, entertaining styles.
One takes 5 years off & comes back with the goods, the other nips off to Paris to be dancer & comes back with the goods. Robinson also had a midget in his entourage.
Could make a movie about either, ATGs

Give Mayweather Duran's hands of stone instead of his own brittle ones and his power was plenty good.

                    Julian Jackson's power
                    Mayweather's defense
                    Mayweather's smarts
                    RJJ's hand speed
                    Pacquiao's work rate while prime
                    Mayweather's reflexes
                    Pryor's stamina
                    Hagler's chin

Gerald Mclellan had everything I'd look for in the perfect fighter.
