Mike Tyson was as close to perfect as one saw and lived in the gym literally to get that level .Perfect equal abilities of speed /power ,defense /offense along with every punch thrown add in his amazing footwork .OF course this only lasted 3 years 85/88,shame. His one flaw was mental instibility out of the ring .

Honerable mentions ,based on least flaws and skill sets......

    Holyfield
    Hearns
    Lewis
    W.Klitchko
    Holmes
    F.Mayweather
    Golovkin
    Joshua
    Hagler

Based on attributes (tested against the best), how can there really be an answer beyond Ali or Robinson. Both guys had tremendous speed, both were athletic, ATG chins, punch selection, punch accuracy, power (people underrate Ali's punch power) and both were pleasing on the eye in different ways. Robinson was so fluid in attack, Ali so brilliant in defense. Both guys had their mettle tested against the very best.

Leonard, Hagler, Armstrong and possibly Pep are runners up.

If we're talking about the most FREAKISH boxer it would be Ali. I've never seen a man that big that could move so well and for 15 rounds.

I still remeber that Wlad Klitschko fight against Davyll Williamson where Klitschko looked lost in the opening because of the movement Williamson was using. He went back to the corner and Manny Steward said to him 'don't worry about the pace, he can't keep that up for long... Only Muhammad Ali can do that' 😂😂😂

Ali wasn't a power puncher, but I think that was more to do with his style. He rarely sat down on his punches but looking at how good he was in the clinch, he must have been strong as fucckkk.

He did lack that inside game however.

You wouldnt be laughed out of the conversation if you brought Sugar Ray Robinson up in threads about:

        ATG Power
        ATG Chin
        ATG Jab
        ATG Hook
        ATG Speed
        ATG Right Hand
        ATG Boxing brain
        ATG finishing
        ATG Punch Selection
        etc etc

Sugar Ray Robinson was pretty much up there in most categories all time. Not many who can say that.

finito lopez is what i think about when perfection in boxing comes to mind and it's not because he retired undefeated.

Agreed, Ali didn't fight much on the inside but he never or hardly needed to. His clinching was on point lol Plus he could manouvre fighters 9/10 times into the right position, move off, throw that jab, right hand and have the guy wondering where the hell he went wrong.

I disagree with ALi not being a power puncher, yes he wasn't a one punch KO artist or anything like that but he hit hard enough to have a KO % of over 60 and he rearranged quite a few faces throughout his career. He definitely hit hard ... hard enough in fact.

Sugar ray leonard was the reason I boxed.....I don't care who anybody rates against him...for a God given talent no one touches him. He had everything...great footwork, speed, intelligence, could box or knock you out and one of the best finishers ever ...and in the space of 15 months he faced Wilfredo benitez ,Roberto Duran x 2 , ayub kalule and Thomas Hearns and together they had a combined record of 177 wins 1 loss and 1 draw ...3 boxing hall of fame champions benitez a 3 weight world champion...duran a 4 weight champion and hearns was a 5 weight world champion ...Ray Leonard pisses all over them

Ricardo Lopez was as masterful as it gets. And a perfect gentleman too.

Robinson was no better than ray leonard....robinson was nearly knocked out 3 times gainst mediocre opponents ...lost to Turpin ....drew with brimm, lucky to escape with a victory over Tommy bell...look at some of robinson films to see he was reckless..was hit often and lost to fighters he should never have ..it's impossible to have a 1940s fighter better than fighters of the 80s when evolution states things get better and better
