True, but does Floyd have the power you would like in a 'perfect fighter'? His style and record is perfect, as you said..

Prime Ray Leonard pretty much ticks all the boxes.

Good height and reach for a welterweight
        Blazing fast
        Very good puncher
Great killer instinct against top opposition
        Underrated Body puncher
        Good inside fighting
        Complete punch repertoire
        Can fight 15 tough rounds

Duran, Mayweather and Whitaker are the most complete well rounded fighters.

For a heavyweight I'd say Mike Tyson, a fantastic athlete all he lacked was perhaps a cool head and maybe a better tactical outlook to fights.

              Ray Leonard
Floyd Mayweather at 135-140 (keeps his power at them weights)
              Pernell Whitaker

Mayweather at 130-135 was had great balance of defence and the ability to stop people.

Love him or hate him, that version of Mayweather was the real Mayweather in my eyes when i think of him as a great fighter, not "Money Mayweather", that one was a master of the ring and winning but as a great boxer and fighter, you can go back more than a decade to find the best Floyd.
