I definitely think that it was in HBO's best interests for Ward to move up.

Ward staying at 168 really restricted Golovkin's options..... Golovkin won't fight Ward, and he can't fight a 68lb'er without receiving a million questions asking why he won't fight Ward.

And what happened immediately after Ward committed to 175 ?

Team Golovkin suddenly start calling for Froch again

The way I see it, HBO had to factor Ward in somewhere, Kovalev is apparently willing to fight him, and HBO value Golovkin more than they value Kovalev.

I don't see any big conspiracy theory here.

Although a few days ago I watched a Hopkins interview, and Bhop made a great point about GGG's apple deal. You got better fighters, more established, who are GREAT role models, like Bradley/Ward..... and yet no black fighter has ever received a deal like that..... EVER !

The " ever " part really surprised me.

There may be nothing in that, but I'm not from the US so I wouldn't really know..... but there seems to be more truth in that than there is in Mayweather's comments.
Like I said, victim mentality. Cry a ***in river.
Froch or rather Hearn the balding fat greedy ****er has been name dropping gg for Froch at every opportunity. Yous can't have missed it, its always reported on here.
But more likely he'll fighf degale.
Degales looked better of late but its a winnable fight for Froch & let's fat Eddie keep more of the cash & build it with BS on Sky.
Froch gg would be a tear up. 50/50 fight but Froch is too much of a plodder, that said u can't count him out as he's got lots of heart & is known for his toughness.

Without the HBO-Golden Boy, then Haymon feud, HBO would have probably never invested on Golovkin, Kovalev or Stevenson!

As far as u not having any Black friends or talking to any , I think we all assumed as much as every coward knows better than to be caught out there talking reckless about Blacks while around them .

Hopefully your smart enough to keep your trigger fingers Twitter fingers .
not scared of no one nugar ray had my share fighting negroes in school in bklyn do not want to hang around none of them. I notice you said I would not be talking like that around a group of negroes. it always takes a group to try to beat on one white guy don't it? I like negroes as much as you like whites. moving to Helena Montana soon where I can be around my own kind by the time it is destroyed by the gift of diversity it will be a long time I will be gone. you got a problem with that?

Floyds one to talk. What "risks" did he take with his resume and what he did in the ring with respected boxers. Is it not rediculous to say the markets saturated with black and Latino fighters? Of course an unconventional race or ethnicity who is at the elite level is going to turn heads.

GGG should fight Ward, no doubt. But why can't he at least unify 160 first? He's this close to the lineal, why abandon that. He has to accomplish that short term goal. People already b*tch about how he's no big deal and hasn't even locked down 160. I see it far different. People who hate GGG want him to fight Ward to 1. Give Ward a chance to jump back into relevancy 2. Throw a wrench in GGGs stalled progress in beating Cotton and unifying 160.

Ward is the one fighting at 172 catch weights. And GGG should move up? Give me a ****in break.

Nope ! But i do understand that the NY City school experience can be quite the game-changer as its a place where people seem to almost bask in being mean and hateful . But instead of Montana , may i recommend u join hands with Craig Cobb in Leith, North Dakota as a final abode ?

Inadvertently, the question was answered: Jack Shit.
I'm really interested in Abraham-Murray in 2 weeks. Abraham is disregarded as a victory for Ward. It would be funny if Ward's 4th best scalp wiped out Golovkin's best scalp.

Yes I have said GGG needs to step it up and have said his competition isn't that great. Anyways unifying a division is needed and is an accomplishment but for what I think about him I expect a lot out of him. Floyd never totally unified a division. Listen I'm not a part of this fanboy craze that has gripped the new generation of boxing fans. I call it down the middle. In harder on the fighters I think are great or have potential to be great. That's what a true fan is about. Just because I can be hard on a certain fighter doesn't mean I can't be hard on others.

But yes GGG needs to step up his game and I've said it before that he needs to.

Well when the best black fighter can't get viewers from other black people on BET, I don't blame them for wanting to target another market.
