Has anyone mentioned the fact that GGG and Ward are both half white? Both have/had one white parent.

GGG is technically as Caucasian as Ward, regardless of their respective skin colours.

So it's racist to say ward should move up in weight until he gets beaten by bigger guys, but apparently it's not racist to get ggg to move up and fight ward at a higher weight. Okay gayweather.

Why not try and be a real fan and not a fanboy.

What hate is real? I don't hate him, I just expect the more out of the ones I see as great. Im not a sheep of a fan like you.
Then obvious, you are okay with people having the exact same expectation of Triple G, right?

And if we are honest with ourselves, unifying the MW division is not that level of 'chance' or 'risk'.

          Wlad-Glowecki-Kovalev-Golovkin-Postol-Lomo even Canelo

Seems kinda nice to see clean cut champions in there saving boxing and representing boxing with class and dignity and respect. Joy to see actually. Need more of that type. Please save boxing. Fury-Fonfara-Cleverly-Provo-Betterbiev-Povetkin all great to watch. refreshing.

            Yup.

Same with Andre Berto, who was a offense-first fighter who threw every punch with power and killer bad intention, always responded to getting hit with offense, and was willing go for broke and go out on his shield if hurt or losing a fight. Dude was never in a boring fight.

He was everything that folks 'claim' casual fans want in a fighter.

And yet somehow 'fans' (and HBO on-air talent, for that matter) spent more time b!tching about how much he was getting paid by HBO for fighting the Willie Monroe's on his resume than enjoying his 'Mexican style' in-ring performances.

It is what it is though.

He signed a lucrative deal with Roc Nation. Before that he was getting a very high minimum purse with Goosen. The boxing business has been very good to Ward. Look at Golovkin's upbringing and entire career in the boxing industry: He has had it much more harder than Ward has...Ward suffers from his own mistakes.

And that deal potentially does four things for HBO, and they know it:

              1. Keeps Ward 2 weight classes away from GGG, makes fans say "but Ward is a Light Heavyweight" (This is already in effect). This allows HBO to continue building up GGG against no-hopers and make the Ward-GGG talks dropping as the months go by and make media, fans, commentators focus more on Ward vs Kovalev.

              2. Keep GGG against any top 10 P4P caliber fighter and let the fans and journalist do the rest of the work as they become more and more impressed with GGG's domination of the weak MW division.

              3. Puts Ward against a dangerous puncher who weighs 190lbs on fight night, is one of top 3 best P4P fighters in the world, is probably the best LHW in the world and can probably knock Andre Ward out.

              4. Have GGG and Koavlev as their two premier faces.

Nobody(higher ups, media) is asking for GGG to move up. Nobody is asking for Kovalev to move up.

Everybody, anit black fans, media, journalist, color commentators on general sports outlets were asking Floyd, a former Super Featherweight, to move up to MW fight the best MW Golovkin. Despite the fact that he already moved up 5 times. Everybody asking Ward to move up and fight the best LHW.

There's no inconsistency at all here, everything is fine. Just hide it all under the rug. Nobody will notice, nobody will start asking "why". Just keep on going and deflect everything with the "you're using the race card thing again". Make them feel like we just want all boxers of all colors to succeed equally. Mention how you like Terrence Crawford, for now, but the plan is when he blows up we start putting him down as well, by using our beloved Viktor Postol, but let's make believe we like him for now since he is not famous yet. It's when they get famous that we get upset.

You have the same avatar as a racist, bigoted poster named Addix. So I was reading this post in shock, and waiting for the sarcasm to come out. But I sww you are different poster. Your post makes a lot of sense, and you are absolutely right. Andre Berto is a great example of an offensive fighter always in a war, who was just trashed by fans and they were upset about his paychecks.

Face it, youre a hater....fighting over 5 weight classes and being lineal in 4 is something no one else has done

beaten so many world class guys in only 50 fights....no one is gonna do that any time soon

He took chances fighting all those champions and fighting all those title fights

Somebody has to represent and bring some dignity back to the Hawk on this site when people folks see the famous 'Hawk Time' stare.

But why is there so much effort and energy being spent on moving one guy up, and keeping one guy safe? That's the question. Okay they should both move up, and Ward already signed the contract that will see him fighting Kovalev. But why is HBO giving one guy a contract only if he moves up and fights the best guy in the weight class above, but keeping the other guy protected and fighting JMW's coming up in weight? Be open minded, ask why, it's okay to ask why and see things from both sides. It's okay to cross from the white side to the black side, and from the black side to the white side. It's okay to stand in the grey area and analyze the situation from both sides and try to make sense out of it all.

Both undefeated, yet they are going the extra mile to keep one guy's 0, and increase the chances of the other guy losing it. It's a natural question to ask, being curious is part of being human. Being intentionally naive is not a good thing.
