"I've been to the mountain top"

Sometimes I wonder why this guy jumped to top2 p4p just because he beat Froch and Kessler, those guys aren't that special.

Tell me whom he should have beaten at the time?

The thing about either fighting cans is this : Ward came off a long layoff , fought Rodriguez who was a undefeated contender and promising prospect . Then he fought the Can-Man Smith who he used as a sparring session , but us fans didn't mind because we had only seen one fight , up till that point , in about 2.5 year time frame .

To the contrary, GGG fans are a freak of nature , as they seem to have a insatiable appetite for tin that rivals any junkyard . Im wondering how any GGG fans are still breathing , let alone still fans of this clown , as he's now in search of his 27th Can in a row which will prolly end up being Grand Tureano Johnson starring Clint Eastwood

What does that have to do with anything? If you don't have the opponents you don't have the opponents, he didn't have much of a consistency neither, like 2-3 years.

But looking at the p4p list today, it's always been ***ed, Ward though went from barely being in the top 10(he was #10) one year and #2 the very next for beating Froch.

he jumped over Marquez despite sparking Pacquiao and Martinez and Donaire who were still ruling and beating the sht out of everyone. From just entering the list at #10, to jumping over those guys for the #2 spot.

If that were the case then your right , there would be no shame in admitting it . But do u find any shame in attempting to call Wards bluff for little g?

I give my credit to the guy who tries to fight the top guys in his division, and when they avoid him he fights a scrub as a last resort, as opposed to the guy who chooses to fight 3 scrubs before fighting a top guy.

But thats just me I guess.........

Lol , thats totally fine and dandy . But my question to u is : Who's the guy that's going around trying to fight the TOP guys in his division ? U can't be talking about GGG's 160 division because there are no top guys in that soggy division . PLEASE ADVISE !

Quillin isnt a top guy? Sturm and Martinez weren't top guys? Cotto isnt a top guy?

folks know exactly what this fight of Ward's is about and why it's happening on the Canelo/Cotto PPV so please stop playing dumb. you all know this fight is to A) get Ward exposure to a larger audience. B) Give him an opponent that he should be able to dominate easily while getting the rust off and look like a beast while doing it.
If you're a true boxing fan you have been following his whole contract issue with HBO and know that his deal is a 3 fight deal with Kovalev being the 3rd fight. HBO was not going to give Ward a new contract unless he committed to this fight (hence why they did not approve Paul Smith or any fighter he presented for hislast fight). So don't expect either fighter to face a serious threat before they meet.
Most people do not consider Pascal a serious threat to Kovalev because of how the first fight turned out. If HBO and Duva did they would not made the fight - at least not now.
I think we'll see Ward in against a bigger name in the 2nd fight and Kovalev against another mandatory that he should spark.
Unless one of them gets upset in their next 2 bouts this fight is happening this time next year so please spare everyone the bs that we've seen on here with the Floyd/Pac build up.

lol at some idiots already counting a possible future fight with kovalev for ward. when that fight happens it happens...it has no implication to what's happening right now. ward just fought a bum and he's about to fight another one. there's no excuse to that...he's going to fight kovalev doe blah blah blah...******s.
