    Olympic gold medal winner Andre Ward (28-0, 15 KOs) is only a few weeks away from making his official light heavyweight debut when he faces Alexander Brand (24-1, 19 KOs) on November 21st at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

    The fight will be the co-featured attraction for Miguel Cotto's defense of the WBC middleweight championship against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on HBO Pay-Per-View.

      the man is facing kovalev next year. i don't give a damn if he fights his gardener in the meantime. krusher is the most fearsome puncher in the sport, if ward conquers him he's the undisputed king of boxing. he could do a rematch with brand and i could care less, the kovalev fight will happen, that's the biggest fight of next year period.. unless floyd comes back.

            For me just because he is fighting Kovalev after his two other fights with HBO i cannot critise him.

              I doubt Ward would risk that, risking to Kovalev is OK.. if he loses at least he loses to an undefeated brute

                  i.e he will have 3 "tune ups" and then pick up a neck injury in training for the kovalev fight and be sidelined for a year with promotional issues before he comes back and needs a tune up
