Floyd never beats the best versions of fighters. If he fought Canelo today hed get more credit than the version he fought back then at 152. Same with Miguel, I get the feeling todays version of Cotto is better than the one Floyd fought.
He needs to take risks that is comparable to the ones Duran took or SRL if he wants to be in the ballpark with them. Fighting past prime DLH at 154 isn't nearly comparable. DLH at his peak at 147 was a decent champion but DLH was no monster even at his peak, which he certainly wasn't when Floyd fought him.
